stearman Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) Just looking for some opinions on this swap I am about to tackle. I have committed to this swap and I am sure I will be called crazy but this forum looks forgiving enough to share my ideas. I have a 1987 BMW 325i which I am going to use as a donor car for my '75 corolla wagon. I will need to chop the firewall to make room for the long straight 6 or relocate the radiator. But for weight distribution purposes, I think chopping the firewall will work out better in the end. I will be putting a lumpier cam, lighter flywheel, exhaust, and chip right off the bat and I will probably get around 170hp. The motor has 170 ft/lbs of torque stock, so I can only imagine what that will turn into. I am hoping to have a unique ride that I can drift a bit and just have fun in. What are some general thoughts on this? any tips for such a project? I was going to post this in the technical builds section but I'm not allowed to start a new topic for some reason... Oh and don't worry, lots of pictures to come  Edited January 11, 2012 by stearman Quote
