So I have done the timing and carb adjustments on my t38 wagon and it still wants to (run on) after turned off what could be the problem and i have tried higher octane gas but no difference.

too lean, try again with the timing and carb

 

ignition stays on after key is off, causing "diesel out" fault in ignition
