May 31, 201214 yr comment_607219 Just changed the head gasket, oil, all that on my 3k, but after putting it all back together, there's a lot of space when I'm pushing down the accelerator before it starts to rev, and once it started to rev it only has about 30-40mm left, and when its 'foot to the floor' it doesn't rev as high as it used to and splutters and dies. The part of the cable that is in that folded rubber sheath thing seemed kind of slack, but I'm pretty sure we didn't muck around with anything other than disconnecting the accelerator cable and choke cable from the carb. :'( Any ideas please? June 1, 201214 yr comment_607329 Free play in the accelerator sounds like the cable check and make sure its not hooked on anything it shouldn't be you should only have a few mm slack before it opens the throttle and be careful not to tighten it to much or it pulls the throttle on slightly Report
