RallyOlla Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 Hey there everyone, Randomaly looking at photos on google of Corolla's the other day and stumbled upon this awesome site. So i thought i best sign up and be apart of it. The Man: Little bit of info about me and my ride; My names Jarrod, live in regional Vic, I'm 22, have a history in automotive workshops(cars for 4 years, bikes for 1) and the trade in general. I've had previously R33 skylines, 400hp V6 and V8 commodores and a assortment of random daily drivers (along with some pretty little 2 wheelers :D) but somehow, someway have always come back to my corolla, the others just havent cut it haha. The Car: This car holds very special value, it has been with my family for over a decade and been passed through my 2 older brothers and survived many bush races against MX bikes. We came across it while living on a farm in VIC and were in the need for 2 cars as my mum just got a job in town. So we traded in our nice shiny Calais and brought a Fairlane and this. Little did i know the obsession and fun me and my brothers were going to have in this lilttle beast. The car was well respected and looked after until my parents went away on holidays and my eldest brother began to teach me to drift a FWD in the paddock. Years went by and the car fell into my brothers lap for his 18th Bday as his first car, as any 18 yr old does the car got a stereo and a thrashing. This then led to a bigger stereo etc. In short it became a DB drag racer and began to blow out windows and rattle the poor thing to pieces. Soon after my brother upgraded to a commodore and never looked back. Enter my other brother, who couldnt drive and soon destroyed 2 clutches and fried it prompting a reco head. He then quit learning a manual and stuck with an auto. I too turned 18 brought a commodore, and forgot about the poor corolla, until my car began to play up again and again, as i needed a car to get to work i borrowed the corolla and never really gave it back. I continued to leave my weekend toys in the shed and drove the corolla everyday. I now have sold all my toys and have decieded to rebuild this awesome car and start showing it some respect after all the years of thrashing it has had. Sorry that i wrote a novel but i felt the condition of the car needed some explanation along with the mods i am going to be performing. 1992 Toyota Corolla Seca Current Spec: 4A-FE 1.6L 5 Spd Manual 250000kms or so. 14" alloys 6000k HIDs VL turbo spec front number plate (mounted on the side :P) 2x550wrms Pioneer subs 800w Pioneer amp Pioneer head deck Custom faded paint with custom design on bonnet(its horrible) Removed Airbox with attached pod filter Boost/Volt gauge Shift Light from skyline(not hooked up, just looks cool on my dash lol) Future Plans: 4AGE- not sure what spec maybe turbo or supercharged 6spd KAAZ LSD Decent suspension New stereo New interior Carbon fibre wrapped bonnet, roof, and boot GT style flush mounted spoilerh chat 17" rims 2 pot brakes Attempt to paint it myself I plan on doing alot more but thought i better leave it for another time, enough chat ill put up some pics Thanks for reading, hope to get to know you all well.
