Rollbags55 Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Hey, need a bit of help. I bought a ke55 corolla with a 4 speed manual. The bloke I got it off said it wouldn't select reverse. I pulled the box out and after a little bit of investigating found that the reverse switch plunger was stopping the selector shaft from moving into reverse. I think someone has had it out and lost some bits. I've never had one of these before and I can't seem to find an exploded view of the switch. Anyone got a pic of the switch and plunger?? Quote

altezzaclub Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 reverse switch plunger was stopping the selector shaft from moving into reverse. How was it doing that? Don't they have a spherical end that rides along the reverse shaft? Sonds like something has broken and fallen off. Quote
Rollbags55 Posted July 23, 2012 Author Report Posted July 23, 2012 On the main selector shaft on the end, one side has a tab which moves the three shafts that engage the gears, the other end of that tab pushes on the spherical end of the plunger when reverse is selected. That spherical end sticks out too far and stops the selector shaft from moving into reverse. All I need is an exploded view of what one is meant to look like. :) Quote
