Hey guys, it's been a few years since iv been on here. I sold my last ke70 about a year and a half ago and bought a r31 skyline. It was a great car but I got over the bigness of it and there's wasn't much else to do to it once I had finished with it. I sold it and started looking for a ke70. I was going to do a black top 4age conversion. I kept looking for sometime but couldn't find the right one, until a ae71 popped up. I went and had a look at it and was immaculate except for the rear guards and abit of rust around the boot seal. It had no rego and needed a blue slip. He wanted 2500 for it but got him down to $2100. I was pretty happy with the price concidering if I bought a Ke I still would of had to buy pedal box, cross members etc to do the 4age conversion. Anyway on the way home I found a silver top 4age for sale on gum tree for $800 and it was on the way home, I went and had a look at it and ended up picking the engine, loom, computer, clutch, flywheel, alternator and starter motor up for $500. I just chucked it in the back of my car and took it all home. I picked it up the next day in a trailer and got it home. I drove it down to my work the next day and dropped it off to get a blue slip. He failed me the first time just for the rust around the boot. I took it back to work and started to bog it the next night. I fixed it all up and took it back and he passed it. I took it back to work so I could work on it on a hoist. The whole next week I got to work on the rolla. I did the usual things like chopping the springs for the fully sick ride height and locked the diff for some sick skids. I found some ssr longchamps 14x8-0 for $600 for the pair. I bought them and wacked them on the front. Took it for a drive around the block and they scrubbed like crazy so I took the old hammer our and folded the front lips over. They also hit that sill bit on the back of the wheel arch so I flattened that to. Tool it for a drive again a presto, good as new. I had a old twin cam wheel off my old Ke I had so I put it on the new rolla. I was ment to get it regoed that week but I found out for a green slip plus rego was going to cost me at least $1100 and I just didn't have enough cash. I then had to wait till the next week for when I got payed. During the next week I decided while my silver top was sitting there doing nothing I'd pull it apart and get it blocked and skimmed for high comp, and do valve stem seals, and the lot to get the head as fresh as possible. While the head was off I thought hey why not just hone the block, put new rings on, and the whole lot to make the motor brand new. I'm going to put head studs in while also using a metal head gasket and studs for the bearing caps just incase I boost it later on. I then had a crazy plan, (which would cost me lots of money but be totally worth it) I'd get cams. Iv always used camtech stuff so I priced it up. I'm going to get some 276 cams along with all new valve springs and retainers..... $1350 later ill have some cams. To run this motor best as possible I'm going to get either a haltech sprint 500 or a haltech sport 1000, not to sure what I'm going to get yet. While I was at the crazy thinking I found a new fuel tank. It's a custom fuel tank but it is all made out of air craft grade aluminum and is all foam lined. It has a swirl pot so I won't need to run a surge tank. Ill be running e85 through it which means ill be going a Bosch 044 external fuel pump with braided lines all the way to the front and back. Ill mount it in the spare wheel we'll with the swirl pot out through the bottom. Anyway The day before I got payed some pretty dam outta this world gangsta wheels popped up and I couldn't resist. They are 14x9-27 mklll's. I thought about it and I came to the conclusion that I'd buy these wheels and get rego later. Think about it, no rego but iv got some gangster wheels ha ha. I picked up the wheels and test fitted them.............. They needed alooottt of guard work to get them pup dogs to fit under them guards. I took out old trusty hammer again and started on the guards. Shit this was, they were full of bog. I pondered on the though of doing front guards on rear for awhile but came to the conclusion that ill just keep working on the rears to get them to work. I had to cut out a section of the inner guard so I could pump the rear guards out. I test fitted them again and there pretty close. Just need I do abit more work on them and they will work, I took out the grinder again and rubbed it back to bare metal so I could see where I needed to work on. There going to look real nice once there done. And so I am here today telling this story.

Ill try keep up on the updates cause it's going to be one hell of a build.

I can't upload photos at the moment but I will tomorrow at work as I'm on my phone.

Enjoy guys
