nomuken Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 (edited) Hi, I just lowered my KE25, 2" blocks in the rear and weld on coilover sleeves at the front. Problem is I now can't get as low as I would want because the front struts hit the bumpstop on desired heighth. Got approx 1/4" of suspension travel left :( Searched the forums a bit and found that some MR2 shocks and shortening the strut housing should work. Questions are: 1. Do I have do get some regular MR2 rear shocks or do I have to find "short stroke" MR2 shocks? 2. Can anybody confirm that MR2 will fit? 3. Got some Techno Toy Tuning camber plates on my KE25 struts. Will these still fit the MR2 shocks or do I have to change the top mounts as well? Edited June 14, 2013 by nomuken Quote
RA28GT Posted June 14, 2013 Report Posted June 14, 2013 I'm not 100% but i don't think MR2 shocks will fit in a standard KE25 strut. I used AW11 rear shocks in my RA23 but that has a 2" Strut where as a KE25 has a 1.75" strut making it alot harder to find a short shock that will work in it. I was looking into coilovers for KE20 and this was the problem I encountered. Quote
slidin180 Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 I did the whole front coil over conversion not too long ago, I used 85-86 aw11 rear shocks, there is still a fair bit of travel and I have the coils wound as low as they go. Let me know if you have any questions Quote
