SM Hunter Posted July 19, 2013 Report Posted July 19, 2013 (edited) EDIT: sorry, probly a lot of spelling misstakes, but I'm from norway, english is not my first language ;) _________________________________________________________________________________________ Hey, Iv already got a Toyota Crown 1969 that I'm restoring, but thats not going to be my daily driver, its going to be too nice to expose to rain or snow (salt)... so I'm thinking of buying a little cheap corolla to use daily. but i want a KE30 or a KE20, i realy love the looks of the 20 , its awesome, but its a bit more expencive than the 30 here in norway... but anyways, i want to swap in a 5R in the corolla , the 5R comes in the Crown stock, and we have planty of crowns, and know them in and out... but we have no experience what so ever with corollas.. but , they weigh 500kg less and if you could ffit the same engine as in a crown you could have a fun car to drive, expecialy on the snow :D is the engine mounts on the corolla and crown the same? and are the ke30 and ke20 similar, engine, engine bay( space) , engine mounts, etc, every tips is welcome :) we also got a couple of 4M ( 2,6 stright 6) altso came stock in the cown so it has the same mounts, but i kind of like the 5R more :) i abesloutley love that motor! my Crown has went 550 000km and it still runs silk smooth, been in the family since 1969 aswell :) love that car! and hoping to get anotherone to love soon :) any tips? been lokking at those here, anything i should look for or avoid when buying a corolla? :) and is the engine moutns similar? http://www.autodb.no...AdItemId1577234 http://www.finn.no/f...nnkode=42582502 lots of questions , not expecting to get all of them answerd but i hope to get some :) if the 5R does not fit ( engine mounts) what engines does? and there is alwasy a way of doing it if they arn't similar :) hehe Edited July 19, 2013 by SM Hunter Quote
