hey guys, I'm looking at putting a 3t into my 70, what do i need todo? i have a 3t with a t50 lined up, i know i have to change the clutch set up, what else?

easy swap, which t50 did you get? as the earlier one's from the t18/ta22 have the same spline to suit your stock tailshaft.

 

also need:

 

new engine mounts

t50 gearbox mount will fit straight in

minimal wiring for odd things (pretty much the same as 4k)

radiator hoses are pretty simple to match up to stock radiator

stock throttle cable or get a ae71 throttle cable as the 4k one is a little long lol

exhaust is on same side but will need different front pipe

 

thats about it.....

not sure on the t50 man but i can find out, and been offered a t series cross member, but have to convert steering, is it worth doing?

Nope it's just easier to make new block mounts, if you can't weld them make them from wood if you have to and then get them copied...
