hayesc1 Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 Hi i am just investigating using a ke70 as a parts car for my ke36, i am planing on buying a wrecked ke70 to put the 4k into the ke36 and am interested in what other bits (e.g struts, brakes ect) i will be able to easily fit into the wagon Quote
towe001 Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 KE70 struts are a direct bolt in. My thoughts are is that the ke70 struts would be the better option to take. Does the '70 have the gearbox ? Its not a direct bolt in. Front seat mounts are different. Steering wheel will fit but it might look a little odd. Glass is different. Wheels are the same. Can't think of anything else at the moment. Quote
japlish Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 Brakes aren't that different so not worth the effort, box will fit but have to cut out the shifter hole further back Quote
towe001 Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 It'll depend on what make the brakes are, this the calipers i'm referring to. One Sumitomo caliper is worth the weight of two Girlock calipers. Quote
hayesc1 Posted August 16, 2013 Author Report Posted August 16, 2013 Ok sweet thanks, the car is complete just body damage, ill need to double check the brakes, it has the box but is auto, and was going to use the manual box out of the ke36 when i put the 70s 4k in Quote
