kid96 Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 so I recently acquired a 5speed box with out knowing (didn't even test it, or look at it, bought a bunch of ke70 parts and it was chucked in with everything) turns out it is a 5speed (k50) box, pulled it apart and everything looks/feels brand new. so this gets me to why I'm writing this, I've searched around and couldn't find any info on it, I currently have a 4speed box (4speed flywheel and clutch) and was wondering if my 5speed box will bolt straight on and work fine with a 4speed flywheel and clutch or does a 5speed require a different flywheel and clutch? please help haha cars got to have the motor back in it soon. B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 If its going into a KE70 it will bolt right in. Quote
kid96 Posted August 27, 2013 Author Report Posted August 27, 2013 yea its going into a ke70 cheers heaps man this has been a huge help! Quote
Mechanical Sympathy Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 You will however require the 5 speed shifter (and possibly clutch fork?) so worth checking you have it (them). Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Nope. Ke70 ones are compatible between 4 and 5 speed. Quote
