As the vic boys would know there was a massive fire in Snake Valley. Got told by the folks to chuck all important stuff in the car ready to go. Luckily for us we didnt' have to evac, aparently 10-15 min drive down the road was though.

I heard on the radio here (Canberra) last night that strong hot winds were not helping things.

 

I almost lost my house, all my stuff, and worst of all....My Corolla :D in the Canberra fires a few years back...lucky me

every year for the past 5 years theres been fires near my place including the one (last year i think it was) where 2 or more firefighters died.

Yeah that is true. The massive Canberra fires were helped by MASSIVE winds, and fires were sprouting up all over the place.

the ammount the snake valley fire moved was crazy.
