Clown Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 As the vic boys would know there was a massive fire in Snake Valley. Got told by the folks to chuck all important stuff in the car ready to go. Luckily for us we didnt' have to evac, aparently 10-15 min drive down the road was though. Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 Jesus....that was lucky. I heard on the radio here (Canberra) last night that strong hot winds were not helping things. I almost lost my house, all my stuff, and worst of all....My Corolla :D in the Canberra fires a few years back...lucky me Quote
Clown Posted March 14, 2006 Author Report Posted March 14, 2006 every year for the past 5 years theres been fires near my place including the one (last year i think it was) where 2 or more firefighters died. Quote
SLOTH Snr Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 Hey Nick! Some of the fires they get down here jumping 50metres is nothing. With all the embers and shit from the gums 5kms is to close Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 Yeah that is true. The massive Canberra fires were helped by MASSIVE winds, and fires were sprouting up all over the place. Quote
