Hey guys picked this up a few months back was in some guys back yard for about 4-5 yrs haha didn't have keys when I bought it, had a 3t an t50 the 3t was absolutely f@#ked, got it home ripped the motor out rebuilt it an still didn't like it so out she came clean/painted the engine bay and converted it from box steering to rack an pinion, an installed ae71 running gear but auto for now :(

What did you not like about the 3t? with little mods they can crank a lot of power.

I got nothing against them. The carb was mostly given me the shits. An I had a spare ae71 to play with

Apart from the rack and obviously crossmember what else did you swap for the box to rack conversion, we're you able to use the te column or did you swap it out for the ae71 unit. Looks good, I'm just starting my lift back project.

Hey mate, yea apart from the rack an cross member, I used ae/ke column an the funny shape part that bolts to the firewall an has the column go through it. Got any pics of ur liftback?

Well it's been a while since ive updated just busy with Christmas. Things are happening slowly anyhow didn't really wanna register it with the paint the way it was didnt want to much attention from the cops so decided on a full respray an get the rust sorted as well. An thinkin on an engine conversion either a 4ag 20v n/a, or a sr20det... hmmm?? Any opinions?
