hey guys.

i have almost got the 1ggte ke70 running but i need to get the solenoid on the lpg tank opening and closing properly, and its not opening at all with the current hodge podge of relays that are there.

 

i ahve been told that i need a tachometric relay (it makes sense to me :P ) and i have everything i need to power this relay except a tacho signal wire.

 

so that brings me to my question...where the hell do i get a tacho signal from?!?!?!!?

negative terminal (yes negative!) of the ignition coil.

 

If its got electronic ignition the ECU should supply one.

me also wonders why tacho sigs come from the coil tho? what about those cars that run coil packs? the u have 4 signals then?

Just because its got a carby doesnt mean it can't have coilpacks. I could put a carby on my SR20DET (not that I would) and keep the coil packs...which would require the ECU! The ECU supplys the tach signal for coilpacks.
