Sad.... welcome to the brave new world of Police States and Corporations. Its like buying a car and being told you cannot touch the computer under pain of 10years jail for software violation.

It could be anywhere the installer put it, like any alarm system, and it could be quite small as a radio transmitter that just chirps wouldn't need much of a ciruit at all. Google images shows them smaller than a matchbox.

A car thief would be a good guy to ask, or some auto-sparkie that installs them.

You're not the only one either.. He posted a photo here-

I'm working on a car that I recently bought as detailed in This Thread.

Upon putting the interior back in, I came across a little black box that doesn't look like it belongs there. I Googled the FCC ID and it appears to be a LoJack transmitter. I had no idea it was there and I seriously doubt the previous owner did, either. I called LoJack to see if I can disconnect it without causing any problems, and they were completely and totally worthless. The ONLY way they would tell me anything is if I pay $99 to activate the system AND pay for a technician to inspect it. All I want to know is if I can yank the thing out.

There is only one pair of wires going to it, and then it also has a backup battery attached. Are they hardwired into any of the car's systems? Or can I clip the wires without screwing anything up?
