Is my engine worth selling on its own?

Hi guys, first time here, I hope this is the right place to ask this question. My car has had a bunch of problems since I bought it ~2 years ago and its current one is the final straw for me. I've loved driving it but there's just been too many hassles. I bought it for $2.5k and I don't think it will be worth it to fix it, roadworthy it and sell it, along with all the paperwork that's involved with all that. I just want to get rid of it and move on to my next vehicle.

So I have an AE92 Corolla with a 4AGE engine, which I understand is the sports model. Would the engine, or any other individual parts of the car for that matter, be worth selling on their own before scrapping the rest of it?

What is wrong with the rest of the car? Is it a GTi ?Do u have pics? Where are u located?
