Hi all,

I have a 75' corona mark II in the Uk, 18R engine 2L I4 running twin aisan su iso carbs, theyre both in dire need of repairing especially the diaphragm but i appreciate repair kits are a impossible to find, does anyone know where i have a possibility of buying a repair kit or even a new good condition carb? The car is with the mechanic due to idling issues, hes given me a couple days but also given the option of upgrading to SU carbs, but at a cost of 3-5k which is extortionate (may i also add I'm trying to tell the car & losing money even when running properly so if i sell her as a project I'm losing thousands as is)

I don't mind international shipping etc

thank you

I just hopped on the UK ebay site, & searched Aisan SU type carburetor repair kits including diaphragm, & there is quite a list there.  You'd have to know exactly which model Asian carb, your Corona, was fitted with.  Plenty on the Australian, & USA ebay websites also, but if you need it urgently, you'd be better served looking for them locally, in the UK.

Good luck !

Cheers Banjo

Hi banjo, thank you, unfortunately there’s no model number on the carb but I told this was normal as someone else didn’t have any either? This is very stressful haha

thank you though

From your picture, it looks like you currently have at least one of the Aisan carbies off the engine. If you take it to a company that specdialises in selling carbies, & spares thereof; they would certainly be able to identify it.
