Hi all, can anyone be so kind to forward me some images of the mechanism that holds the bootlid up on the ke70/Te70/71, my bootlid wont stay up and i think something is missing but there is absolutely nothing on the internet showing these diagrams etc. Thanks in advance

They can be quite grunty springs when you try and fit them!

Brother man!!! you an absolute star, thank you very much.  My vehicle has the spring iron thingy but those plate looking things that go to the arms of the boot is actually whats missing on my vehicle, i can just get something made up that resembles this. thank you so much sir. If possible, Can you perhaps measure that plate end to end? and width if you don't mind. Again, thank you!

The plates are 80mm long x 23mmwide, neatly pressed from a flat maybe 30mm wide to roll the edges for strength. Open slot one end, closed slot on the pin end.

Not an easy shape to make.

See how you go. Because they are a cam hinge they are slotted at each end, allowing the plate to slide along the hinge pin. If you get stuck for making it work I can try to measure the slots at each end, although you can probably just work from the ratio to the 30mm width.

Brother, I think I'm good for now, lets see how it comes out once completed, i just need it to do the job. Thanks again!
