Reco 4k Running Bad

hey guys,

 

finally got my reco 4K in today, now we put the dizzy in how it tells you to in the gregorys book, to line it with top dead centre or something, and after that it should be facing cylinder 1, well mine wasn't so we just lined it up with 8 degrees on the crank pulley, started it up did the timing as best as possible, but still is running really bad, sounds like its running on 3 cylinders. So what have we done wrong? Dizzy in wrong? Hope I provided enough info :P

 

Any help would be apprieciated.

Correct firing order? Try and get a gun on it to check the timing while it's going. Pull plug leads off to see which one isn't firing and work from there.

The firing order is 1-3-4-2 if that helps

Fixed, she is running good as gold, just running her in, needs a tune but.
