  1. andy. i have what you possibly want. 0400 678 714. dean. I'm in wantirna

  2. yea your right hiro.that was the case.was worried if i turned the idle up it might turn the cold idle up but no computer reads 2000 only when cold.gotta love 4ages they so smart haha thanks heaps guys
  3. yea there was a spare pipe that goes to the idling cylinder thingy but because it was loose i just blocked it up.figuring the computer would sort it out some how.i adjusted the idling to 1200 while warm hopefully this solves the issue and when i start it up it stays at 2000 not 4500..
  4. yea i did think that it was abit high but i herd it normal for them to stay cold at 2000 like u said but when i started it up it was at 2000 when cold :-/ so if it were say an air leak what would that be through? having the pod filter open to hot air is a case to but i dunno if that would effect it...
  5. having problems with my 4age smallport.as soon as i drive the car for say 15 mins and the engine gets warm the idling will get really low or stall if i take the car out of gear or come to a stop? any ideas.....
  6. I'm having the same problem with my redtop 4age non turbo.after 20 minutes of driving it idles so low it will almost stal and at the start it high revs.i think it might have somthing todo with the pod filter etc. I'm keen to know the answer to this
  7. o right could explain the high idling. should that pipe be blocked?
  8. brilliant that's one down. two to go thank you for that.
  9. ok so i just bought an sx corolla with 4age small port.now some dude has done quick home job on the pod filter.there are a few things hanging around i would love it if someone could identify these for me as i don't no how important they are. please help anyone? and this one is the lil blue plug thats not connected to somthing? this one is the little black pipe on top of the red air flow pipe and this one is of what looks like a sensor of some sort?
  10. hey thanks guys yea i think that might have to be the case jus the guy before tryed playing around with it because it was sputtery and i said that usually happens when u water blast an engine with out covering up the filter and all ignition points etc.and he scratches his head and said opps. but owel i bought it so guess i took the risk. yea its a cheap filter so will get that replaced to. thanks for the info anyway guys
  11. if anything I'm not use to an automatic sorry. I'm not one to put the foot down just would see how the engine went if i did as most people do with new cars they just bought. it just paused for a bit but then cranked right in to it. but i just noticed goin out to my car before that it was idleing at 2 thousand rpm which is not right so now I'm stuck with the question how do you turn your idle down to 800rpm?? just new to this engine thats all
  12. hi all just wondering if anyone can help me out here i just bought an sx corolla and it has a small port engine only mod so far as i no is a pod filter.now when I'm driving say at 50 kms i put the foot down and it jolts then blasts in to its revving.kinda hard to explain its like when you do it to an automatic.my theory is its running to rich and its putting way to much fuel in when i plant the foot? anyone had a similar prob or may no the reason?
