i've got an 86Kw or there abouts 4age already. i've got a spare block which has been honed out, i've also got a spare head which has been machined and it had some damage due to corrosion. i've also got all the bits to build another engine from these two bits. the engine i'm running at the moment is shot to bits, ive been told that the rings are probably gone on it. both of these engines are completely stock and have had nothing done to them. what i want is an extra boost in power, i cosidered goin the turbo road, really my mind still isn't completely made up but I'm leaning more towards the supercharged option.

hey, i'mm lookin at doin some mods to my AE82, i've currently got the stock drums on the back and i'm wonderin how hard is it to convert them to discs and where is a good place to get the parts from. i live in W.A so if any one could help me out that would be great

hey guys, just curious as to how much u'd expect a 4AGZE halfcut to cost. talked to a place in perth he reckoned $3000ish. any comments would be helpful as a conversion is something i'm considering doin. thanks

yeah i bout his 87 after he crashed and put his engine in mine which is a 4age, and ive got the 4age outta mine which i'm cosidering rebuilding cos it had a blown head gasket and was left to sit for a few months and the head corroded, which i got machined. cos to buy a rebuild kit was gonna cost the same as he wanted for his car so now i got a parts car aswell

hey, ive recently got my 1986 ae82 running and i was wondering if there is any significant power gain in doing much work on the stock engine or if there is another engine which can easily be put into the car without too many modifications to mounting points etc. Also i went on a holiday and when i came back the car wouldn't start and when my dad who is a mechanic had a look at it he said it was probably the ignition switch playing up. i know a guy who's car a 97 ae82 which wouldn't start either and we always thought it was something to do with his immobiliser/alarm which was playing up aswell but now i'm wondering if his car had the same problems. I was wondering if anyone knew if this was a common problem or not and if anyone knows how to fix it
