don't know how they did it, but I did see a few of the AE71 with 1JZ- single turbo running around in Sydney. I think I could be the first one running a stock twin turbo in Sydney very soon, but I won't be surprised if someone also has already taken that position. :hammer: Single turbo apparently is easier compare with twin turbo. thanks Henry

The 1JZ I have came out of Soarer, and it was a front sump. :n: Apparently Chaser have the front sump version. :y:

I see, thanks for letting me know about the crossmember modification. Right now, we are not touching the crossmember but making a new engine mounts once the front sump arrives. thanks Henry

yea I think the choice I have is the front sump and I actually source one already, should be here very soon, hopefully this should work thanks Henry

$4000 dry sump.........not my choice at the moment, but it's really interesting to know, gona goolge it now

Apparently I need to get a front sump for the 1JZ to get away with this problem, so right now might look for a front sump and figer cross

hi thanks for your reply, I actually spoke to the guy who own that panelvan, he told me to lower the corssmember and modify the engine's mount, leave the crossmember as it is, .........but......i still couldn't get it work......

Hi everyone, I'm in the progress of getting the engine into the AE71 corolla, but so far the problem is the engine cross memeber. The 1jz engine sump just right in the way and blocking the steering rack. Friend of mine sent me this photo a while ago, does anyone know this car? number plate XVL247 If you know this guy could you please intro to me? PM me Because I want to find out how he did it, I'm in the hurry to sort out this engine conversion problem at the moment, PLEASE HELP ME >__< or If anyone else knows how to fit a 1jz into the AE71, could you please help me? many thanks Henry
