  1. Hey mitch, did you end up offloading that supercharger setup? Need to gain a few seconds on the car club boys in the khanacrosses....
  2. Hey All, Just got a new project on the go. I've picked up the new ke70 that has a 3tc and a t50 mounted in it.... I've got to sort out intake and exhaust to get the engine going. I am struggling to find any extractors for it here in oz, but I have found these on ebay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/180775620754?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648 They are a lot cheaper (even after postage!) than if I was going to get some made by an exhaust person here, so I'm thinking of grabbing them. Just wanted to know if anyone knows of someone local that does them or stocks them that I haven't found yet?! Cheers Joe
  3. Well.... Bit of an update. Still have the Khanarolla, but I've made another purchase. Rally looks like fun, and when you see something like this pop up for sale, you can't really say no... I'm sure everyone on this board will agree. I'll write up some specs later in the week, but here's a teaser pic.... :D
  4. I don't think they would either.... I have a single DCOE intake manifold here (unused and bought new from Redline Auto). Pm me if interested in buying it.... Cheers
  5. Does the 2t & 3t have the same intake pattern on the block? I am looking for a single sidedraught intake manifold for a 3t. Closest I can find is the 2t one on redlineauto.com.au http://www.redlineauto.com.au/products/product/12-3135?category=BFLXHVLE& From what I've read it should fit, but will the port sizes be the same or close? Cheers Joe
  6. Been a while... Heading down to a motorkhana on Sunday. Hoping for a bit of fun. Got one more Khana left this year after that, then it's time to get working on club rego and then pulling the insides out/fitting sidedraft weber and play with the suspension a bit... Yee haa...
  7. Basher indeed! Went down to where the Khanacross was meant to be on Sunday. 'rolla in tow.... No-one there! Shattered. 'Apparently' the event wasn't confirmed. It was on the website... >| Anyways. So, I went and chatted to the farmer over the road and he said that we could take the car for a run if we wanted. Open track! Got to practice on the usual Khana track, all by ourselves. Was great. Spent an hour teaching the wife how to use the handbrake, awesome fun... and funny. Then spent the next halfa doing some runs myself. New exhaust sounds great, the engine is sounding pretty strong and going well. Got to fit a tacho so I can see what's happening under the bonnet. Decided to stop at an hour an a half... that long at full throttle is enough for one Sunday. I've got some video, I'll post it up soon so you can hear the exhaust and see us sideways.... 70 style :y: :y:
  8. Right... Makes sense. Look forward to seeing the engine conversion
  9. Legends. You guys are too good... at least you know the right places to start looking anyway! Cheers, I'll hunt around for some bits now.
  10. Don't know much about the braking system, but what's the advantage of removing the booster? The hydraulic handbrake can be set up on a seperate brak line yeah?
  11. just a single... couldn't justify $$$ for two at the moment. Missed out on a couple of doubles that were bargains, so bit the bullet and bought just one. Money to spend elswhere! I know I'll get a nice improvement from one anyway  Know anything about sizes?? Cheers
  12. Got the carby arriving in the next couple of days and ordered a manifold and soft mount kit from redline for it today :D Carb is not jetted to suit... It's nowhere near suitable actually!! So I'm going to put it out there to ask if anyone knows good jet sizes for a 40mm dcoe to suit a stock 4k with a decent exhaust. Or if anyone knows where I can look up specifics on the net? I'll take it to someone to get it tuned proper, but I'd like to get it going reasonable myself so I learn a bit more about it... and so I can drive it to the tuner! Any help is good.... Joe
  13. Sounds like a lot of work, but I agree with the thought of staying in the 1300cc CAMS class... good way to keep the budget 'reasonable'. You started a build thread for this yet? Get some pictures up... keen to have a look see...
  14. Will get there on most of this stuff... Won't be doing a cam until something goes wrong with the motor and it needs to be taken apart!! ha. Not sure about locking the diff just yet, worried about understeer from lack of power - probably not too much of an issue off the tarmac I guess... Battery will be going to the boot when I get the manifold for the carb and fit all that up. Plan on making some kind of cold air intake box that comes from where the battery is now - rather than blocking in front of the radiator. Can anyone recommend gas shocks that won't cost the earth?? Model numbers for standard height?? I plan on getting stiffer rate but same height king springs when funds permit. As for the muffler, it's actually pretty high, just the patch of grass I parked the car on is quite high too! Gippsland is a fair drive with a car trailer from the north east!! In beechworth - between wangaratta and bright. Head down to Sadny Point at the Prom reguarly as we have a place down there, so I might try and tie in a visit, maybe khana the wife's daily??! :lolcry: I might just be stealing ideas off you too! haha. I keep eyeing off the mods on the scott motorsports ke, thinking if I can do half of those at half the price I should have a pretty fun car! (keeping the 4k though... Love being in the 1300cc class for the khanacross's, it's only worked mini's with LSD fronts that you have to worry about!) Will be sure to keep the posts coming, glad I put it on here actually - helps with the motivation! Joe
