also, does anyone know where to get screws that hold all the dashboard on from??

cheers fellas, so id probably be best off taking the car to an auto electrician? thats my plan at this stage as it looks like a miassive slut of a job to take the thing out so ill pay for somebody else to do it.

when i start it it starts fine but you can hear the starter motor still going for a bout 1-2 seconds most time i start it??

whatsup lads, my names Andrew,19, from sydney, just bought my first car (obviously a rolla)1989 cs-x Uploaded with ImageShack.us ill get some more photos up soon when i get the time. It's got a few things that need fixing up..eg. bit of surface rust above windscreen, on the back door and above some of the doors,passenger window winder rooted, cracked interior on the door trim (is it possible to get new door trims from wreckers?) carpet is a bit iffy in places mainly on roof but thats ok i wont be lookin at the roof much my missus will be and just replacing fuel,oil and air filters and oil,brake fluid and coolant. but yeah just here to gain more of a rough idea of it all and some advice and also inspiration from others. cheers.

Got it :) apart from a bit of surface rust and some minor f@$kups wih it its pretty mad, the old man took it for a drive and we picked it up for 1500 so I'm cheeeeeeeeering, thanks for the advice boys as it helped a fair bit, I'll chuck up some photos for ya tomorrow when I get home

cheers boys, yeah its a 1989 ae92 and from what ive been told is pretty much the same "if you look after it well it will serve you well" which is what i want to hear as I'm getting pretty into it. I'm going to have a look at it tomorrow,cosmetically my mate looked at it for me and said it looked perfect apart from a tiny bit of rust on the back door which shouldnt be too much of a hassle to fix, but as i said I'm going with the old man tomorrow to have a geez at it and if i do ill throw up some photos.
