  1. Yeah your probably right about that! There's just too much rust for my liking and experience. I think I might look for a shell then snap what's good over
  2. Yeah what if I was in good nic. My roof is hail damaged go the max also Is it hard to put all the mechanicals into a car from scratch?
  3. Ok guys Ive got a situation. My ke 30 is a pretty rusty thing. Well yeah the most serious rust seems to be around the front door hinges at the front where it's gone right through. Anyways If I were to get a decent shell with barely any rust and use that as my base would this be a better option as the shell will be just the shell. No engine etc
  4. didnt know this thread existed!! i know they arnt aussie but I'm seeing wu tang in a couple of weeks,
  5. So what's the difference between this rust converter and the 3m one I have! So I'm better off looking at a decent brand but second hand. Ok well what brands should I look at?. And what do you mean by the wire feed? Thanks heals guys
  6. Ok thanks heaps. So my car is made of steel isn't it? Not aluminum? Is there much different between a cheap and expensive welder??
  7. All that information is really helpful!! So a mig will be good to use when welding new steel into my ke30?
  8. But you can't use migs on aluminum can you?
  9. Yea cool. Well I'm going to look into a welding course then hopefully buy a welder. What type of welder should I be looking at. Mig?
  10. ok sweet, i see what needs to be done, so i can't just go out, buy a welder and start using it, is that what you guys are all saying?? so even for little rust holes i should be cutting out the metal?? cheers
  11. whats beg?? yeah i think i really need a welder with my rolla
  12. So what all you guys are saying is I need to cut it out then weld some back in?? If that's my only choice to properly fox it. Where do I start when buying a welder? Thanks heaps
  13. So what all you guys are saying is I need to cut it out then weld some back in?? If that's my only choice to properly fox it. Where do I start when buying a welder? Thanks heaps
  14. Yeah the door is off already so I can get to it pretty easy!! A lot of it's surface rust. But there are parts where it's atarted to go through. If i hack at it with a wire brush there's a possibility that it was all open up as we probably all no. Is this rust killer with touch up paint the the only method realistically speaking?
