  1. It's been a minuet sense my last post. Quick update I did a compression test and it's very sad also the 4ag was over heating because the head gasket was gone. So I decided to go with the GZE instead of fixing the 4ag. I've got all the turbo parts I'll need to turbo the GZE. I pulled the oil pan on the GZE to tap it for an oil drain. I found lots of metal shavings so I took a look at the bearings and it didn't look good. The connecting rods didn't have bearings at all and are damaged very badly. Also looks like the crank is damaged. So my question is can I use the Connecting rods and crank out of the 4ag 7 rib big port In the GZE block? I've also got a 3 rib big port 4ag.   2. I forgot to mention piston slap :( thats what it has to be I'm going to pull the plugs today after work. I'm not sure what i should do next? I have the GZE Block in the garage but i kinda wanted to play around with the 4ag first to learn the car before i Boost. Do i need a engine rebuild maybe or is this fixable? I guess next is compression test. I'm lost.
  3. Sorry guys I have been busy with junk. I replaced the water pump with a New FWD Fx Pump i also Found the water pipe running alone the side of the block and installed, I also Picked up a Drizzy from the junk yard out of an Fx16 and i got a 86 ECU out of an MR2. No Engine lights No overheating. I still have idle hunt so I'm not sure if its the timing because i having found a timing gun yet, or maybe a vac leak. I think i might have some bad news, I popped the hood to look everthing over before going to work and i noticed oil on the exhaust manifold. Looks like cylinder 3, So maybe my head gasket is gone i have no idea.
  4. I flushed the engine and radiator. I noticed the water pump has a small amount of play in it when you move the pulley up and down. I'm going to try and work on it some more today if the weather will let me.
  5. Thanks for all the tips. I was reading something that said if the timing is off the car could overheat. I know my timing is off for sure I also know I have a bad Drizzy and I fried my Ecu by crossing the TVIS and engine temp sensor. so I have some parts I need to pick up from the junk yard. Also just to throw this out there the engine is in idle hunt cuz or the bad Drizzy I think... Also I inspected the Used FWD pump when I installed about 10 months ago. The car has only been driven about 5 times sense then. Everything was working with my last set up. I'm pretty sure everything is almost to spec... I deleted the heater core and just used a U shaped hose. I also blocked off my 2 lines for the throttle body but still doesn't work. Thermostat is about 5 days old 170 temp brand new from the auto parts store. I'm going to play around with it today and see what happens. Thanks for the help again guys
  6. Alright guys I'm back with some problems. I was Running FWD water Set up but i wanted to go to RWD. Heater Core is Deleted everything is almost original. I replaced my thermostat with a 170 so it will open sooner New Dual Core Radiator with 2 Fans. The car is over heating at idle slowly it will stay at temp for about 10 minutes then slowly start to over heat. If i rev the engine to about 4000 for a couple of seconds the temp will start to go back down. I know my Engine came out of an FX16 and I'm still using the water pump out of the FX. The only thing i havent replaced is the water pump. Is the FWD and RWD water Pumps different? I not sure what to do i have tried almost everything I'm loosing motivation it almost makes me wanna sell the car :( I blocked off the 2 lines for the throttle body but it still over heats Please Help.
  7. Hey guys its been a minuet from my last update been having some hard times. So here is the story I modded a 88 MR2 harness for my 86 Front Engine Dash and Rear harness. I mounted the MR2 Cluster Pod and it looks and works alright Ill post a picture of it soon. I really want my dash back but i don't want to spend $300.00 for a harness. Some guy was trying to sell me a modded SR5 Dash harness to fit gts engine harness. My questin is how is that possible and is there any more info on that converson SR5 dash harness with GTS engine harness. I would like to try and do it to save some cash. Or if anybody has GTS Full Harness that your willing to let go for cheap to help a brother out.

  10. I got it to idle but hes still not happy lol. I replaced the ECU and that helped a lot and i tried one of my friends Air Flow Meters it worked better than mine but his Meter isn't working that great either. When i rev and let off the gas it will just die out someone told me it was this thing. Also when the car is running the oil pressure starts at high then slowly drops all the way to low any ideas? Any ways any day soon i can take it out on the road and have a good time i hope.
  11. It doesnt run i have to pump the gas so it will stay on but i can rav all the way. I'm thinking there might be a vac leak. I havent let it get hot yet only started for a couple of seconds. When i start the car oil level gage is full then just drops all the way any if i turn the key off then back on it goes back up ideas? Can you get air in the oil lines from the oil cooler maybe or maybe i have my oil cooler installed to far I'm not sure.
