hay thats a great idea !!! raising the floor now why didnt i think of that!!!,yeah a small tool kit in the boot would be a great idea, you could also build like a mini storage wall where the petrol tank is , at the monmet myne is just covered in material looks tydy but dosent really serve much purpose ,so that could be an idea too,ill draw something up and post it up see what you think......

and finally with a nice tight squezze with the amp fitting in to the mdf box,and thats about as far back as i can get it the wood box is about 1 inch from the 1/4 panel so theres still room to breath, also if you look in the previous photos you will see a bunch of round holes in the mdf ,i put them there to let out a little heat from the amp on long cruises,so hopefully there wont be any problems with it ......

yeah thats was what i was aiming for as well jip, the boot space is pretty small to start with so , trying to recess as much stuff as possible, specially the sub, which i havnt done yet possibly next week end, still have to come up with a good box design, theres always the possility of putting the sub in the tyre well, ive done it once before with a 10 inch sub and fibre glass but it is a huge mission ,and this car I'm trying to keep work down to a minimun, but at the same time geting a tidy out come . 2 subs in your boot huh, wicked thats gona crank out the bass for sure!!!!

well thats about it for the interior donr the front and rear door panels, the parcel shelf and the carpet, looking pretty tidy now,I'm pretty happy with it,what does every one think?????? ive seen some pretty cool interiors on here ,hope some one takes a few ideas from what ive done, well thats about it at the moment ,i just fitted a car alarm with central locking which is pretty cool, press the button and door unlocks for you no more fiddling round with keys!!!! ive got a cheap ass sub that i thought id put in but I'm not sure how to set it up??????????,i want it in the boot in a secure spot so it doesnt roll around or move but also i want the option to be able to remove it if i need to,i think ill build some sort of box that mounts somehow??hmmmmm something to look into,in the mean time i just finished putin in the amp which I'm really happy with, its out of the way and looks tidy , what i did with the amp was build a box out of mdf then fited it to a mdf board in the shape of the rear 1/4 panel then covered it in the same material as the doors etc, then basicly fitted it all to get ,with a little stuffing around to make it all fit mind you ......... check the shots

so that parcel shelf looks a bit better now any way i done pretty much the same on the front doors except a set of components to add a better sound quaility to the sound, this 2 was a bit of a fiddly mission drilling holes ,cuting metal, fitting wires, lining stuf up took a while but the out come is I'm reasonably happy with the look and sound , so I'm gona burble on a bit about this here we go, first the original state of the door ........ no speaker ,tan dated colour, boring old and not my cup of t!!!!!
-
hahahaha i was joking but your car is pretty sweet those wheels are huge!!!!!!do you get alot of guard rubbing on those puppys???????? did you just chop those front springs or do you have after market springs???I'm not sure how I'm going to lower the back leaf spring set up a bit new to me , any way heres another shelf pic.......
-
so there in great now just needed to put the old /newly covered parcel shelf back on and thats the job done so......
-
haha thanks rolla boy ,yes ive got more shots coming soon just keep watching ,love your car buy the way awsum,2 doors have always been my favourite, want to swap?????hahahhaha any way ill gett more pics up shortly heres one with the new speakers fitted,i got a pair of sony xplode 6x9s off ebay new for like 70 bucks ,pretty good deal, they sound a bit clearer than the old crackly 3x5s hahaha
-
so that was the old shelf a bit old and the wood was abit scratched up not very tidy so a quick tidy up would be in order, but first fitting the 6x9s...... now because the new speakers were alot larger than the old they would not fit in the original holes  but also because the speakers were too big the grills wouldnt were i wanted them so solution??????????? fit speakers under parcel shelf!!!!! well that had its own set of problems one being the petrol tank i wont go in to details on how i mounted them but it was a fiddly operation!!!! so any way after all my burbling on heres the pics.... pacrcel shelf off and old speakers out.....
-
ok a bit more on the old box, next is the parcel shelf, now when i first got the car i thought it would be kinda cool having a sub mounted in the parcel shelf, that is until i found out that theres a huge fuel tank right under neath!!!!!! dam it !!!!oh well out goes that idea,so instead i thought a pair of 6x9s would be ok, but i didnt want to have the big huge frames and grills that 6x9s have on the parcel shelf, don't ask me why i don't know i just don't like the look of them i guess,so i came up with the idea to use the orginial toyota factory speaker grills instead trying to keep it sort of origninal looking ,make sense????no well then pics should tell the story, this was a little harder than i first planed, cause i didnt want to take the rear screen out and also didnt want to take the tank out of the boot so had to work around them, first out come the orignial 6x9 speakers ,well i just call them that there probably more like 3x5s or something they were blood small compared to the new speakers , now i didnt actulay take a shot of the original speakers they pretty much went straight in the bin!!!! but heres one of the old parcel shelf........
-
woa!!! thanks guys for the great comments ,i thought the car looked ok didnt really think any one would be impressed by it since there are so many awsum looking rollas on this forum, dan the colour isnt ford blue print its just a custom colour that i made up,it looks alot like other late model blues but i think it looks good on the old car, nice and bright and gives a very clean look too, as for the lowering and wheels you mentioned I'm thinking about getting some alloys if i can find some that will fit ,not sure yet and yes i definatley lower it at some stage along the line feels very high of the ground like your driving a bus hahhahaha, well ill definatley keep the shots coming in then if people are actualy liking them ,so keep what and should have more over the next few days ,please keep in mind my camera isnt the greatest and some of the pics may be a little fuzzy  but you get the general idea ......

-
and heres the door comp;eted with the arm rests and window winder and the door handle surround all painted in a dark grey colour......
-
so heres the same door panel with what they call warm charcol coloured velour ,looks a lot better than the tan what do you think?????
-
well this is the factory door panel alittle dated , but still in good condition considering this is a 1981 car!!!!,but unfortunatley for the door panel it dosnt really go with the new carpet so off it comes and on with a little bit of a fresh materail,i did this my self and the paint work i also did my self,i like to do allthis sort of stuff my self,as you will see ,so heres what i did on the doors.......
