Hi all,
I spent a significant amount of time last weekend trying to replace some dash lights that have blown. I could not work out how to change them. So I am in need of assistance. I removed all parts of the dash surrounding the instrument cluster, so the screws holding it together and in place where exposed.
I attempted to take the dash apart, first trying to remove the instrument cluster as a whole, but I could not unplug the cables attached to the rear, thus prevented me from removing the unit as a whole. Second, I tried to remove the clear face, followed by the black plastic moulding. This looked like it would be more successful. In fact, I think it it wasn't the SX cluster this would have worked. That is, after removing all screws, the clear cover & black plastic could be pulled out a little on the right hand side of the cluster. Yet the left hand side, where the clock, oil pressure and voltimeter are wasn't going anywhere.
Can anyone provide any tips on how to remove the sx cluster? I have searched and have found nothing enlightening.
Also, what globe will I require? And quanitity? The lights are out on the right hand side, i.e the temp gauge, and the tacho from about 4000rpm are not lit up. I guess one or two globes are blown?
Thanks in advance for your help. Hopefully someone can save me.
Justin.
