  1. Whatever suits the diameter and height you want. No use copying mine because you could place the coilover spring seat differently. From memory i sat it at the height i wanted, measured the height and described what i wanted to the spring guy. Mine are king springs, seeing i still haven't driven the car i can't really comment on how they are :P

I should probably get helper springs because at full droop the spring isn't captive, though this only happens on a jack. Well beyond how far it'd go while driving unless you went over a jump...

  2. Been signed up here a while but never really said much...

  3. R31 struts can be used if you either remove the dowels or drill out the bottom of the strut to keep them. Swap your spring seat over if you want to run whatever you have, or use coilover kit etc. Either user whatever R31 brakes are or use off the shelf caliper adapters to R32 4 piston setup. The kingpin angle gives you more positive camber though, which i have dialled out using camber tops.

  4. Morning

So i've decide that i'm going to sell my kart. I don't use it enough, and if i get another i'd likely get a subaru powered one to race in the same class as the rest of my mates who have these. No pics for now unless i can dig up some old ones, the kart is at my mums

    Details:

    PCR frame

Briggs 4 stroke motor - worked. Cam, double valve springs, upgraded carby, etc etc. Nice raspy note, no idea of power but comfortably more than the subaru motors

    New brake master

    Brake caliper recently rebuilt

Small AND large seat included. Fit whichever you need, i think i have a 2nd large one which i want to keep

MG red tyres, still reasonable from memory

Tyre bead breaker and kart stand included

It runs well (but needs fresh fuel) - recently had the carby pulled apart and tuned, i haven't used it since. Brakes need bleeding from memory. I moved the seat way back because i have unusually long legs, you probably want to fix that so the weight distribution is better.

If you're wondering what you'd do with it, butterfly farm west of sydney is where you'd run it. Costs ~$40 for a 1year license, and ~$40 per DAY to run it. Add fuel, and you've got a very cheap day out.. And being a 4 stroke it is allowed on the track up until they close at ~10pm.

Looking for about $1200. It is currently stored at Kurmond, but i can bring it to redfern for pickup if needed (or drop it off anywhere in between) - but i don't really have the room to store it here. Any questions fire away

    Thanks

    Bardin

  5. I will check later on and get back, from memory it is pretty good.

$20 plus cost of post, you may want to put a set of valve stem seals through it though.

$20 plus cost of sending, now sure how to pack for post though....

Sorry for the lack of replies guys, I have been getting the house ready for the expecting baby, not really paying attention to the computer, I will make sure I check here every day :D

Bugger, brain fart on not checking your location.. will keep hunting for something within driving distance, if that fails i'll let you know, thanks

  6. bananaman, i didn't get around to quizing you more about the r31 strut swap for the ke20

I'll put details up in a members rides thread, i'll put it up tomorrow night. Won't have completed pics up just yet until i get the car back from the shop..

Here's a rough idea of how the car more or less stands now, but with the addition of front end panels and an exhaust :)

  7. Hey Bardin thanks for puting the pics up dude, so whats ETA on your ke20 sounds like its going to be a beast. :)

No probs, prob shoulda taken more seeing my camera is half decent.. but oh well. ETA on the car... end of the year maybe, at best. We'll see... I'll put a thread up, have a shitload of photos

thanks for a good day guys sorry it did not suit every body's agenda but it sounded like you had fun.

Mick sending a PM now for that Warragamba dam cruise.

I don't know what didn't suit who's agenda, but all i might offer (and don't get me wrong here, taking on the responsibility of organising this is appreciated to all involved) - is that printing up some maps or something, particularly with the details of the destination, wouldn't hurt. We were under the impression there was a pie shop at the first stop, which was MIA, and then we couldn't find the candy shop either. Bit more of a heads up on the day about this wouldn't hurt

All in all it was a decent drive, and as a consequence of meeting a few of you now, might see me around here more often :)

  8. yea sounds a bit expensive on brakes but i guess if u have a big enough motor......

I've made posts about my setup on here before, i'll put a guide up when its all finished.

With regard to using XT130 strut in ke20, its a no go unless you change LCA or steering arm. I based my upgrade on the R31 strut as its a bolt in jobie on the LCA, and runs a similar kingpin angle.

  9. tell me about it mini spools are 100% fun. the car isnt laggy at all, hits boost about 3000rpm the inlet path is fairly direct and not very long compared to say a silvia or skyline and with the bigger cooler piping it makes up for the cooler.

Creepy, theres a ke20 with ca18det near me i was having a look at the other day, and its the same colour.

I'm planning on doing the same thing with the s13 dash cluster, but hopefully a bit cleaner (no offense). I'm going to use a fresh piece of sheet for the dash face, and work from there.

Got any pics of the gearbox xmember at all?

  10. sorry to grave dig but ild like to add some links to flares, bobtails and front splitters,

ild also like to know were i can get a bobtail like the one on that te27

Worth noting that the flares fibremaster sell are not te27 replicas, they are more chunky - like the ones on slo13b

  11. Gday lads,

I was going to build a car pc, but i don't think i'll bother now - i've tested this, but never fitted it to a car or anything, so consider it new.
