  1. Well parrot, that sounds... Disturbing. I already have a ke35 but as a daily driver, and not as a crusier, I prefer the e120. More electrical stuff that makes it more comfortable and faster but the biggest different between the two corollas is that I could sell the e120 in like 2-3 heartbeats. The ke35 I never could sell.

  2. Very interesting! Well it is not Irs, (had to Google irs to see what you meen :-$) it's a stiff axle. I will not be using it as a race car, so that means that the whole suspension conversion would be a waste of time? About taking the panhard stag to the leaf springs axle. Now this is a thought that has slipped my mind. Maybe that's enough to improve Road handling? That also means that I can keep my air suspension I have put on the leaves.

  3. I will do a engine conversion to my ke35 this summer. I have a carina ta62 with a 3tc engine as a donator car. I'll probably take the drive shaft and the rear axle from it aswell. Question is... Shall I rebuild and switch the ke35's leaf springs to the ta62's suspension setup? It should be much better both for handling and comfort but how much work will be there be and is there even room for the ta62's suspension?

  4. In my corolla e120 the climate control is making a annoying sound while it is set to about 20 degrees Celsius. I've seen that there's a rod behind the glove department that is making the noise by continuously jerking around. It stops when I raise or lower the temperature with multiple degrees. Really annoying! How do I stop this problem?

  5. Hi!

I've been thinking... The corolla e120 got a facelift on late 2004 here in Europe. One upgrade was a steering wheel with adjustment in hight AND length. Before that the steering wheel could only be adjusted in height. Now, is it possible to upgrade a pre 04 steering wheel with parts from the newer (04-06) steering wheel to get the benefit of length adjustment? Will that be extremely complicated? And has someone done it?

  6. Yes, I know that the diff from the Carina is wider, but I´m thinking that the handling would be improved if I use this axle and of course widen the front. Maybe only with spacers. Except for the extra work about the leaf feathers, the rear brakes comes with the diff. But how do I get the front brakes to fit the KE35?

  7. Hi!

I´ve got a hold of a Carina TA62 for a cheap price with the 3T-C engine in it. My plans are to put that engine into the KE35. To make it road legal I also have to take the rear axle and the brake system from the Carina. Do anyone know if there will be much trouble to fit the rear axle with the leaf suspension on the KE? And could I use the crossmember from the T-engine to fit in the corolla instead of modifying the K-engine's crossmember?

Any other hints or advices on things to do or not to do during this project are welcome!

  8. Hi

Joel from Sweden here. I desperatly need a RH front wing to a KE50 and the front sheet metal plate that is under the front bumper. If anyone know how I can find these parts, please let me know. That would make my day and save a really nice KE50 from the grave.

Another question, has the corolla TE51 the same body spare parts as the KE50?

    Best regards
