This is a really awesome build and am glad to have stumbled on it. Hope you don't get screwed around so badly with the next tune, that guy does sound like he's trying to rob you for whatever he can, not returning to him sounds like a good action to me. How is the 2az-fe, good platform engine for older toyotas?

Hey, I know this thread is a bit old, but I was just doing a bit of research on the 2tc online and google brought me to this forum. Anyway, I have a ta22 with the same motor, had a few problems like this with it cutting out at lower revs. Wondering if you ever found the source of the problem, mine seemed to be the vacuum advance diaphragm.
