  1. This is prob one the best looking Corolla's world wide. I keep checking this thread for updates. It never leaves me hanging that's for sure. I applaud the work you have put into this, Brownie
  2. After I owned it for not long, I decided that 20 year old suspension was crap, so I won some super lows on ebay cheap as, So in they went, n it looked like this. Decided some rims where needed, again, ended up grabbing these cheap as 13x6 +10 And then with a scrub First test fit, With a 205 tyre, they sat flush, was what I wanted so I was happy. Then I decided, " Need more low!! " So I cut a couple springs out of the front, the rear was 'sagging' so I didnt worry about it Drove it like this for ages, Just adding little things and maintain here and there, Had these in my track car many years ago, lost my steering wheel, took around 2 years, it was in the bottom of a box after we moved but finally found it, was super happy, ordered a boss kit and BAM, into the rolls it goes!! Had the 'Dildo' shifter there, Toyota thread so in it went as well. I thought Some extra air flow would be the go here Went and sold the 'brake cooker' rims and bought some 17's for daily duties, turns out they where farked, so never made it on the car, just a test fit, they looked ok, something like 17x7 ish. Decided I should do something with the falling apart exhaust, So chopped it at the end of the front pipe and ran it back from there with 2 inch straight thru, was reasonabley loud, but got some nice power increase I would say. Also while there, touched up some rust and tinted the tail lights. Then added my stickers, cause there Hectik ( The 'I hate my Ex one is the Favourite' ) ;) Another exhaust shot, rocking on the angles for added 'Street credit' Bought a detachable Boss then why ? Because Racecar !! The look on peoples faces is always priceless!! Then things Started to get real, I was chasing coils for ages, decided to get the 2nd had from Japan, got them cheap as again, So while I waited I needed to find some rims to help, these came up, In a flash they where mine, 13x7 neg 20 ish Offset, Big dish Steelies, Fitted them, looked like this.... Drove from a mates place with them on back to mine, unfortunately to much travel/ not stiff enough springs/shocks meant they came off straight away, So the wait began, 6 weeks to get my coils from Japan, after I nearly forgot about them, these showed up on my door. We where unsure when we bidded what they where, Trd ? Or Cusco ? No stamping on them, either way, they have HKS Springs and are quite stiff, got them in no hassles at all. Left the height as it was and away I went. Unfortunately again, I lost my license for a month, So couldnt drive it, So this happened.... Thats pretty much where its at at the moment. Its been painted, It was just a spray can job, but it will do the trick for now, this was only ever going to be a budget build, I will contine to update as I go, This was the inspiration behind it all.... Cheers Brownie
  3. Hey guys this is my Ae92, Its 3/4 Finished now, I'll throw some pics up and story from then till now. Basically, it was my Ex Gf's Mums car, She owned it from new, It was then passed onto my Ex when she got her P's, She got a new car, I took owner ship of it, Wanted something cheap to run and maintain as a daily. Its had a reasonable life, Owned by 2 mechanics now. The Ex neglected it a bit, but considering its got over 360,000 on it and is still going strong, I can't complain. I think since I've owned it I would have spent maz $1200 getting it to the stage its at now, Still have a reasonable list of things to go to 'finish' it. All the work has been done by myself, or help of mates. End product will be something 'JDM' ish. Basically want to keep it to daily for now, In saying that, have coped a fair amount of police involvement in the recent weeks, but not much can be done bout that, Anyways, heres some pics, from then till now. Brownie
  4. Cheers for the Info. That helps clear a few things up then. May just go back to the coilover option. Gaurds wont be an issue with those rims. I plan on running bolt of flares or some form of flared gaurd. Brownie
  5. Hey guys I thought I was reading somewhere where Ae92 Struts and Celica struts where interchangable? Celica struts where around the 40-60mm Shorter ?? I have looked around but can't seem to see where that was, or possibley I was dreaming... Can anyone shed some light on this for me ? I'm trying to run a shorter throw shock with my springs to get the low/stiffness I am chasing without going coilovers. I'll attach a pic of the car with my rims that I am trying to run, as an example of ride height etc. As you can see the rear is a little soft and has rims in the back seat so its sagging abit, but realistically, height is about what I want in the rear, as for the front, can prob come down close to another inch. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Brownie
  6. Addicted is on to it. I replaced the module 6 months ago so I wasnted expecting it to be my problem again, But after replacing, carby, coil, fuel pump and filter, and spending hours on hours tracing vacum lines and wiring checking for a leak or short, I bit the bullet and got another module, Seems to be running fine now. Bought a spare while I was going So I have one in the glove box now! Cheers Brownie
  7. I have a new coil sitting in the glovebox, just sourced another carby. Might throw both on tonight and see the outcome. Hopefully good. Brownie
  8. I was thinking along the same lines, In saying that though, If its losing spark, why when it dies does it restart again? Why would it only lose spark for say 30 seconds and then come good again ? Why would it stink like fuel and cough some smoke when it re starts ?
  9. Ok Maybe someone can shed some light on what is actually wrong. Basically, If I am just cruising along, highway, traffic etc makes no difference, The car will just stall. Tacho drops and it spit and splutters. Sometimes it comes back and drives fine, other times it spits and splutters till I stop, where the car will just die, I can sit and crank it and it spits splutters but starts again, Stinks like fuel and Coughs out some smoke. Then it will either run fine for a bit, or just die again. Seems to me as if its flooding itself. Fuel pump is working and its got fuel in the bowl when It dies. Any idea's ? Brownie
  10. Whats the difference ?? The sticker on the Motor says 4ac? Brownie
  11. Hey guys, having some carby issues with my car at the moment. Just wondering if there are any other carby's that are interchangable with the 4AC and if its worth it. Or just better to rebuild or grab a second hand one. Not really chasing power or anything. But wouldnt mind a little bit of extra go. Cheers Brownie
