  1. Hey guys I thought i would show you pics of my Ke70, so far all i have done is mostly paint and bodywork next on the agenda is the interior and look into installing a better motor. Enjoy Danni-Elle
  2. thanks cool i will post pics up of my car soon but looking forward to meeting other corolla club members
  3. hi I'm new to rollaclub and interested in cruising with you I own a pink Ke70 83 model
  4. don't worry guys thanks for your help but Trev sorted the problem out for me
  5. the first Auto did that put a relay in and the problem came back a month later
  6. For Trev I'm from Ipswich i find the problem to be a hassal as I have to keep sparking a wire against the battery to start car, and you guys should know how hard it is to start your car when it is cold. It is a lot harder to start with a wire and being cold
  7. I have been to three different Autos that what you are saying about the starter motor relay is what the last guy sort of did. The car has been running good until today. I think I will take it back to him he said if it was his work he will fix it for free due to warranty reasons as it has been a mont, but i don't want the same problem happening again down the track as it has been since December last year.
  8. Hey this has been a recurring problem for me I own a Ke70 1983, and every now and then when i start the car it is like the ignition is dead and just clicks. I have had like 3 different auto electricians look at my car the first one replaced a relay saying I had a voltage problem. The second one did the same thing plus did something to the starter motor and the third guy told me to buy a starter motor which i did and he did something to the solarnoid on the starter motor. Now the same problem has come back a month later and I'm wondering am I getting screwed around by these auto electrians or is this problem happening due to something completely different. Does anyone know what i should do about this problem? thanks
  9. thanks I'm thinking of putting a 5k in and modifying a few things the FAQ has been helpful giving me some ideas a set of extracters as well.
  10. I'm not sure what the previous owners did to the car but one thing I had a lot of ignition and starter motor problems in the end it took a brand new starter motor and an auto electrician to fix the problems. All i have done to the car is mostly paint and body work. So I am looking into ways i can make the car run better the FAQ has been helpful giving me ideas to fix the current engine i have.
  11. Thanks for your help I'm pretty sure it is an update model however i think the previous owners changed engine as i have a 4k 4 speed manual but the the diff is meant for a 5 speed manual.
  12. Hey guys I'm new to this site and i own a KE70 1983 corolla update which is my little project car and I was wondering what sort of motor I should put in. I'm after a bit more horse power not interested in putting an V8 in, something easy but with more power and 5 speed manual. Also does anyone know about extracters on my year model engine as I have a cannon exhaust system installed and was told to install extracters as i lost power. thanks Danni
