i know its probably illegal but i was going to forget all the vaccuum stuff and just run a weber and extractors with no auto choke etc which would free up alot of ponnies i think. alternatively i may just leave it stock as i really just want a fun car that costs a little as possible (without cutting corners)......famous last words! :)

i want to use the car for rallying as ive done 1 night rally and the old girl handled it pretty well but needs more power. if i can keep the cost bellow $6-700 i will put a 4Ac motor with a 5 speed and just thrash it :)

where would the best place to buy parts or get advice for the coversion from 2A to 4A, and also someone to do the wiring in adelaide? is the pedal box different in the auto or is it just an extra box for the clutch pedal. is there a manifold available to put a 45 weber on a 4A and is there enough room between the ports and the firewall? does anyone know if the manual gear linkage bolts straight in to the place wear the auto selecter goes , i think with an extra bracket (from what ive read in the gregorys book) :)

its a 4 dr hatch. is the auto to manual swawp difficult. wats the difference between ae80 and and ae82? I'm thinking more about just a 4A motor with a 5 spd.

ive got a ae80 with 2A auto and i want a 4A manual. is everything the same body wise ie mounts and holes for different bits like clutch cylinder etc? is the gear linkage the same in an manual as it is in the manual? what other things should i consider for this conversion? :D :hmm: :jealous:

hi, ive also joined up today as i want to know 1) what will fit into ae80 and what is the most worth while conv. to do. will the 4AGE fit in or is the 4AC the biigest i will get in there? does anyone know of some one in adelaide that knows rollas and could help me out. it currently has an athsmatic auto 2AC! thanks

what fits as straight bolt in, into the ae80 engine bay. and is there any probs with conv. from auto to manual ie pedals and hydraulics

hi ive got a auto 1.3 ae80 which is slow as ?%#@ but it handles well and i like it. i want too put a 4A motor or the twin cam that was available with the ae80 (i think) does any one know if there are any difficulies with an auto to manual conv. or a twin cam that would fit, like does the 4AGE fit? thanks :D :jealous:
