  1. hey guys...i am just a few weeks from summer break and i have to start looking for a job.....i am gonna do some changes/mods to my ke70 with ca18...This are some ideas :

    1) Swapping in a gearbox for the ca18de

2)swapping in a ca18det (depending if my budget allows)

    3) swapping in an SR20DE (manual)

I am leaning more towards the 3rd option .....

Fat Bastard has been giving some good info.....

  2. got back my car and here is what i did:

    engine:

    changed timing belt

    change alternator belt

    swapped in NGK platinum tip

    tune it

    used synthetic oil

sealed a piece of the tappet pan rubber

    car:

changed rear shocks to tokico gas

    changed front disc pads

    changed drum brakes pad

    added new brakes fluid

the engine working REALLLY top class now....i love it....

when summer comes i gonna see what next i can do...

  3. thanks KE70kid.....7shades is right..the ke70 already has an ca18 in and it would be easier to swap in an SR....soo I'm sticking with swappin in a gearbox to the CA18 or taking that out and putting in an SR...gonna talk to my mechanic this weekend....if i swap an RB20DE(T) gearbox with the CA18DE,can't i just swap in either an CA18DET or SR20DE(T) engine only (later on though) since the RB20 can handle the torque??

  4. hey guys and girls...gonna talk to my mechanic bout what should be my next move...i plan either

    1) Put in a gearbox with the ca18 and later on use performance clutches, chipped ecu etc and see how that goes

    or

    2) Swap in an SR20DE with gearbox and just mod later (parts for the SR cheap and plentiful over here)

    what u guys think??

  5. that makes sense love ke70...it doesnt really make sense to drop in displacement from a 1.8 to a 1.6.....its possible to turbo a supercharged engine from toyota cuz i know nissan did it with the superturbo march engine MA09ERT..here are some of its stats...

    Engine specification: MA09ERT

    Air cooled intercooler

Water cooling serial 4 cylinder engines

    Total cubic displacement: 930㏄

    Combustion chamber form: Semi- globose

    Valve: SOHC(single over head cam)

    Cylinder distance: 66.0mm×68.0mm ( bore

    Compression ratio: 7.7:1

The highest output (net) (ps/rpm): 110ps at 6400rm

    Largest torque (kgm/rpm): 13.3kgm at 4800rpm

    Fuel consumption rate (g/ps h)/(rpm): 255/1200

Engine Size (length ## width ## height) (mm): 705mm×575mm×680mm,

Service weight (kg): M/T approximately 111kg (MT car)

this engine here is like gold here in trinidad....its a top seller....lol

i will ask around in my local forum bout the 4AGZE engine and parts availabilty and do some research into the engine specs etc.......

  6. i just read the pinned topic of a 4AG in KE70.....i was wondering bout fitting a 4AG 20V FWD in the ke70....would i lose out on any power or should i stick with the SR20??....i would have to convert the FWD to RWD...I'm wondering if its worth it??...cuz i can get a 4AG 20V FWD since its just the RWD thats impossible to get here....
