  1. That's a great idea. I'll will do a full build thread. From even the little things like cleaning it. Hopefully a detailed build thread from paddock to road will help others see its not that hard or expensive to do a Rolla.
  2. Nice, I honestly don't think I'll need much for it. Front, Rear and driver windows are gone/smashed. Have a rear lined up already. Body panels are all there. Haven't had much time to have a good look at the brakes and everything in the engine bay. So I'm not sure what to chase after, yet. I'll be sure to hit you up if I'm in need of a few bits!
  3. Just put a good old fashion wooden ruler to the rims. They are 6inch between the beads, not 7inch like I thought. 165 tyres won't have to stretch that much but will still have no side wall buldge. Off to Sydney in 2 weeks to pick up a set of fairly good 2nd hand tyres.
  4. Wow B-Lugg I honestly didn't know that. Cool! The front is damaged but only the left side, the apron and chrome bumber that are both repairable. I'm also lucky it is 80% complete. Only need to find a new windscreen and driver side window. Already have a rear window lined up. Then a newer interior-thinking I'll need a donor car. Once it's water tight or I can make room under cover for it, I'll tear the inside out to see if there is any rust under the carpet. Then I'll hook into then brakes and bushes.
  5. Ke70dave- yeah I measured these rims a fair while ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if they not 7 wide. Probably 6 1/2 or 6 3/4. Thats also why I'm not 100% sure about the offset. Altezzaclub- all soughts of flex was my concern and why I'm asking for thoughts and advice. Luckily all the roads around me are being redone for heavy traffic from the mines. LittleRedSpirit- your personal experience is the confidence boost I needed hahaha cheers! I'll still get 165/65r14 and see how they go. I can always get some spacers later on, spose they will help "fill" the guards and increase track ever so little. Thanks everyone! Now on to the next thing to cross off the long to do list.
  6. Have a set of rims lying around, Delta meshies 14x7 not sure on offset.... Maybe around 25ish?Any way I trialled them and this is how close they sit to the shocks. Are they to close? Was thinking of 165/65r14 tyres for that stretch look and to keep the tyre wall away from the shocks.
  7. Hey peeps! Always loved the ke70 and finally picked one up. Sure not the best condition but I couldn't refuse the $150 price tag and PANEL VAN! Motor is seized aswell as brakes. Manual box feels good. Nearly no rust except a few pin holes in not important places. Interior doesn't exist. Not much planned for it. Replace motor and put a auto behind it. Low and on a nice set of rims. Interior, just bring it back to standard. Nothing flash just after a nice cruiser. Wishfull thinking: 7k motor. Commodore/magna front brake. Lsd disc brake diff from a corona. It will be a slow build as I'm currently finishing my Datsun 521.
