  1. I can take it work and get our guys to do it.......you will need to sign a disclaimer tho exempting everyone on the planet of any liability...blah blah.

Ive run heaps of them lightened..some I even machined myself.....never had and issue and have both feet to prove that lol

    pm me if your interested

  2. Thanks for coming up Ken, the KE70 is running an SR20DET, so he was running ineligable, but would have been lots of fun, we had the KE20 running 4th outright until the rough roads bounced the ignition relay out of its base and lost about 15mins in the last stage, my sister came in second navigating in the sprinter, and unfortunatly my brother-in-law in the KE30 kept throwing an altenator belt.

Thanks again for coming I will post whenever future rallys are on in Perth.

    cheers,

    Pete

pm me with details of what you have now....include jets atc

  4. i think i stay with what i got thanks anyway. going to start stripping the te71 down in couple weeks

why not use the 3T with twin webers easy 100hp at the rears and with some work Ive seen 150 at the rears.

works copt cam and 50 thou off the head and away you go.........want more? 89mm pistons equal 1960cc very torquey too

  5. many years ago now, i used to tune and recon webers. I still have a heap of parts and a few carbies as well. if your looking for anything let me know. I maily have side draft stuff but there are somew3 downdraft carbs which use the same jets

  6. free ........till bin day monday.

these have come out of my daughters car. they probably need a rebuild.....so expect that they aren't brand new. I don't know how much it costs to rebuild so i bought some cheapies and whacked them in

I am not interested in sending, packing...........these aren't worth anything to me hence I don't want to stuff around.

if this gets deleted so be it.....some one misses out and they go in the rubbish. that is why they are in the WA section and not for sale

  7. oooo $100K.... Its tempting but I don't think I could get that much for selling the Suzuki or rolla lol, I was more looking at starting basic, I know at barbagello they have an open class or something, but my main concern is will i need a roll cage, cause thats something I prolly couldnt do myself, But If its just rockin up and bolting a fire extinguisher to the boot, and havin a go then I'm up for it, I did read when I was in Sydney that they had an Excel Rally, where people bought excels ripped the interior out and put in a roll cage and raced, cause they are very light, cheap and easy to repair it sounded pretty good, but I havent found anything like that here unfortunatly.

If this kinda stuff was easier to get into there prolly wouldnt be so m uch street racing, off topic but hay...

Thanks for the fast replies to.

first decide what interests you the most. then look at clubs....all will welcome you but some clubs are populated by complete tossers that feel the club exists only for them so you may find that you change clubs till you feel comfortable. Ive competed in both rallying and super karts to champion levels but along the way tried a few different motorsport avenues including bikes and circuit racing. looked at offroad racing and speedway but found them not my speed. yuck dirt in the teeth, each to their own however.

motorkhanas are a great introduction to motorsport and your don't need to spend a pile of cash. infact they teach car control and slide control with translates to a safer road driver. bst part is you don't need a race car as the family hack will provide just as much fun and ive seen some talented drivers in family cars beat some very expensive race cars

get in touch with cams they will give you a list of the different types of moptorsport affiliated with them and the clubs

one small point..........Q how do you make a small fortune from motorsport?

    answer.......start with a big one!!

from an old man that limps i wish you luck and sucess , please remember no one will remember a guy that crashes except if its spectactular enough to require a hospital visit. learn slowly and stay out of hospitals.

  9. Well this event is CANCELLED.

Sorry Brain and Damo, but with 4 poeple it is not worth doing.

I'm going to close this tread on friday.

    Chris

I'm ok with that....maybe it comes as a result of the age of local members and having little funds

    brian

  10. We boyz, I'm thinking about canceling the meet, or doing it on public day.

If i go on the past, no one is going to show up and I have better things to spend $800 on.

If you want to come you have till the 30th of March to re-post your interrest. That is this sunday!!!

If I don't get a good number of replys I'm canceling.

    Chris

chris probably a wise and well considered decision!!! however put me down for two spots please should you reconsider

  11. ill start saving this week then.

    just standard plugs?

leads are less than 6 months old. dizzy cap new. as is rotor arm. coil is as new as well.

I reckon ngk 6 heat range would be best

cheap dyno....plug chop. which means drive car on new plugs for 10k or so then do full throttle for about 30 seconds in third with brakes working against motor. remove plug chep insulator colour ....want chocolate brown

    brian

  12. not sure when the tune up is. was hoping ud help me out. ahhah. but i did call a few dyno places that are willing to do carbies. most of them weren't really sure.

i kinda copied the mounts the gave me.

they did seem to fit the 2tg into the ke35.

you know I drink expensive beer....yep veeerrrrry expensive beer!! when its ready for tune let me know.....then buy new plugs and bring a spare set. make SURE all ingnition components are good, leads in particular. last, save for a LOT of beer.

hey you know what .....ive got some nice 45s now!!

    cheers in anticipation

    brian
