  1. Here's the link to the pic he took with those measurements on it http://m235.photobucket.com/albumview/albu...easure.jpg.html
  2. just wired up a thermo switch for the thermo fan, and also fixed up the starter motor. going to be lowering it shortly for the cruise tomorrow. :P
  3. In that case I don't want a 0.48 rear lol. I like to have a bit of lag so I can actually drive around off boost. Will wait till the turbo on it dies before getting another one though. First plan is to rego it. Then intercool it and set up the fuel system. Cam. Dyno tune. Leave it like that for a while then efi. Then engine wise that'll be it till Nikki gets her full license then drop in a 5k :P
  4. Think bezender said the dizzy was already locked up didn't he? Either way whichever way works better  as planning to efi it :hmm: yeah def wanna put a nice cam in there. Would a good cam for the 4ktc be the same as a good one for a 5kte?
  5. Well really i think I'd rather a 0.64. Which I'm guessing this turbo on there now is? Wanna do it once and do it right with the turbo. Has to be enough to flow for the eventual 5kte  also what would you recommend doing with the ignition system si?
  6. Well in that case si I might not turn it above 15psi on this turbo. And may have to invest in Garrett t28 of some sort see if I can get any with a 0.48 rear for the little 1.3 banger  and your tech thread on the how to set up a fuel system will help me alot with this car :hmm: one other thing. For the wiring to the fuel pumps. Should I run them through a relay and fuse? Or just a fuse? And don't worry we'll be getting it running right for sure >| and hopefully shouldn't take to long either Matt
  7. lol, so just pull the wastgate line of the turbo then  free boost it? haha. i'm wanting to push like 20psi through the little banger, then go eat some commodores :hmm: also here are the pics i have so far.
  8. coming to canberra this weekend to pick up the purple 36  i'll pm you for details on said cruise, want to try and take the purple 36 on the cruise :hmm:
  9. Lol thanks mate  gonna be pretty sweet having two ke36 wagons :hmm: will most likely using a intercooler of an xr6t. Carter fuel pump that's coming with the car we'll be using as a lift pump to a surge tank then using a vlt fuel pump out of my vl as it needs upgrading anyways lol. Then take it to websters and see how much boost we can push through the 4ktc >|
  10. Hey everyone. Have recently just left a deposit on bezenders ke36. And will be picking it up within a few weeks  thought I'd chuck this up now as I'm bored ATM lol. Anyways will update as things go along. Plans are gettig running a1 and intercool I and later on efi. After Nikki gets her full license we'll upgrade it to a 5kte :hmm: but ATM we gotta get an approval for her to drive a turbo car as it is. And that will stick to the engine number and car that it is now. Pics will go up later as on my phone now. Matt
  11. Lol that's funny :blinks:. My last ke36 cost me $1,500. So I'm happy with getting this one for $500. Also have just left a deposit on bezenders ke36 4ktc wagon :lolcry: which will be for the mrs. Picking that up not this weekend but next also if someone could point out reason's to stay with the bp motor i probably will. but if it can't handle 20psi and 250rwkw without going forged then i'll most likey go 4agte
  12. Ok bit of an update now. Picking the car up from Canberra this weekend :blinks: more then likely have the mrs driving it back down to here on a permit. Also mind has been changed on the engine. Going with a 4agze and turboing that. Yeah it won't be different. But after alot of research and especially reading this page http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3065346 I found out why everyone goes with the 4agze :lolcry: makes more power on less psi then a bp motor will and also makes about the same torque from .2L smaller motor :D. And yes I do realise that guy has a 20v head. But I now have alot of reasons to go 4agze. Anyone wanna buy my bp motors? Lol
  13. Thanks man. Shame the 20 didn't get in  that would of been awesome
  14. because i'd rather have a cat then have an efi car without one, my vl stank standing behind it and i could barely breath it was that bad, hollowed out cat. going to be using a 100 cell 3.5" metal cat on both the vl and the wagz. and rather have the better chance of passing, instead of paying $1,000 or more to do the test, then fail then have to spend money to get it to hopefully pass then have to spend another $1,000 or more to take the test again. if i win the lotto in wont phase me, but i got zero chance of that cause i don't buy tickets lol.
  15. does anyone know much about getting this engineered in vic with the bp motor in and turbo on? spoke to an engineer and he said the only concern is the emissions testing. once that's passed it's easy, but taking that test scares me :P he said in vic it only needs to meet the requirements of the car though and not of the engine, so that should make it easier, seeming as it will have a cat convertor on it.
