Don't know Teddy, Mechanic is gonna check it out for me on Sat, I have spare 5sp sitting in my garage... but I may of damaged some syncro's I suspect.. I don't know how to double clutch so I did my best to slide it into gears which was sorta hairy... coming onto the m1 and trying to select 5th.. and it doesn't wanna go in while the car is slowing down I managed to get it into 3rd and and then gunned it and slid it into 5th.... sorta clunks between gears ...
Man I haven't driven my car in 2 days now and I'm so sad.. I'm missing my baby badly... this is why I can not sell it ... I'm in love.. or just plain crazy lol but its ok to hug'n'kiss ur car before you go to bed ... and talk to it.. and sit with it.. and polish it .. thats normal isn't it..

Ummm... Maxi died :P :D but its just the clutch cylinder... I had to drive it from Southport to Baranda and then back to Runcorn with no fluid in clutch cylinder. ... so basically grinding the syncro's away.. :D
Tom walks over to his car and hides in the boot.. and some dirt or something gets into his eyes... :D

Interesting, might just have to get the lows then - thanks for that bit of info Ben.
Well Anthony has mention he can get me a HKS/Blitz upgrade for under 1500 and if its the one I'm thinking of it includes KKK or HKS TURBO, external wastegate, dump pipe, manifold, gaskets, and all pipes - direct bolt on. Anthony also mentions a pigyback comp for the standard ecu.
Thanks for that link Nick, I actually didn't see that on their site and it is now another option - but I have to supply my own turbo it seems. 140kw at the front wheels in a car that weighs under 1000kgs sounds like fun :P

long time no chat, how you been buddy? I'm shocked!!!! your car actually was or is worked on lol :) - you know what i mean lol
Anyhow, sounds awesome ... I hope it goes great and I know you've been hanging out for it for a very long time, is that you driving it in the 2nd pic? I saw a nice white sprinter at GE the other day, tho it wasn't a hatch it had a boot lid, deep dish rims, drift spoiler, I assume drift damage to the front left side - black gaurd. I thought you were back kicking some arse :o
Anyhow take it easy, I hope to get funds sorted out to fix up maxi and me and Arani will come along to a meet and say hello :devil:

nitephyre .... its grown on me hehe ... I was thinking oh no! what are you thinking... then I remember when I saw a GP Turbo for the 1st time... EWWW what is he thinking@!... and then a couple yrs later I'm driving one lol ..
I would say its more Yakooza then anything else, maybe lowered on 19's :) twin exhaust, debadged, tinted windows... 2x100hp NOS bottles plugged up. But please no shitty monster tacho's, extra gauges or even neons... keep a classy car classy! :o

Hey guys,
I'm back, thought I'll say hi rather then just scanning the boards post, Maxi isn't super dooper yet, though I did blow the turbo now so he has an oil leak. :devil:
But maxi the lil beast shall live on!!!! even in his current bad state I did something norty... I raced a new wrx (only mod i could see was zorst) off the lights and I did loose but maxi kept it with him from 1st, 2nd and then into 3rd he pulled away... but I think thats pretty good for a car with the wrong ecu, blown turbo, stuffed susspension, bad tyers, broken clutch cylinder... :)
Anyhow racing is bad :o but one bit of footage which has inspired me to keep going on and on... Getaway in stockholm 1 n 2 :fuzz:
OK enough rambling, this is the secret plan... which I will only share with my fellow rolla club members...
Since maxi is broken... I shall fix him like this:
Broken turbo replaced by S15 T28 with custom manifold or KKK EP82 Turbo kit
Broken clutch - replaced with heavy duty item and LSD
Bad ECU - replaced with stock EP82 unit with fuel cut defender so over 15psi can be run ... I also need some kind of fuel regulator aswell..
Broken suspension replaced by super low springs with koni shockies and new bushes. Exhaust has some holes in the muffler so I'll replace the whole thing with a 3" turbo back system.
I'm undecided what to do with the brakes... maybe just better pads and oil
RX7 front mount intercooler - its not pretty, its not big but it doesn't matter at speed! (might consider a water spray triggered inside the cabin or at certain temp)
All that should be a good starting point, and base to work from, if you have more effective idea please share it.

Morton Island 4WD Hire :) lol ... I asked a guy today at work is it wise to take a jimmy upto 70km/h on the beach getting air off dunes and plowing around in soft sand .. he thought I was nuts haha.. and he runs a 4WD club! .. ... I had no idea a Jimmy wasn't designed to do that stuff... it was my first time driving one... hmmm oh you have to wait for photos for a while.. no digi for me.. I have old school 35mm SLR :|

Damn did i have some fun.... 4WD kinda fun hehe :) Suzuki Jimmy goes great in the rough stuff at Morton, I did some fresh water crossing lol, g/f took photos of water upto the bonnet and flying all over the place... I'll get photos soon :|

NickAE86- Yeh I have him on MSN but he doesn't reply to my posts even if his online so I hope he does have time to fix my car thats if he is still interetsed at all - I'll call him soon.
Stasi who gave me the ECU has now set me up with a RX7 Intercooler and piping to suit EP82 engine so I'm gonna get that installed when it comes up... its great timing too because my i/c is starting to get a hole from where it rubs on the bonnet :D
Oh yeh, in reply to your questions above, I have spent around 6 grand (not including purchase price of 3 grand) on the car if I did sell it in its current state of tune - (it would not pass a roadworthy, so no rego) I would proberly get around 2 grand on a good day.... so cutting my losses would only get me another problem... so I may aswell stick to my current problem and fix it.

My out look is long term, and unfortunatly the only factor that has stopped me from doing the car up and stopping these problems from occuring in the 1st place is money. If I did decide to cut my losses I would indeed buy a Sprinter (Like your one Nick - (Arani says hi and goodluck!)) I've come so far already and I can't give up - when I think about it I get nightmares :D
The problems which I have now - are major problems but problems that would occur to any old car in time - since I use the car more then an average person would use their car it is expected to have that amount of ware'n'tear (near 1000km a week) :D
Some good news tonight - Stasi (Rolla II Owner from New Castle) is giving me his 4EFTE ECU for free! Nick how do I contact the suspension guy? Anthony originally found the problems with the electrics and last time I spoke to him he was keen to fix it all up. Now I need 2 x tyers - do you think I should just get some cheapies? would they fit on my rims (P.S: Teddy their not for sale hehe).
One day when I we hold a help day do you think we could change the clutch on maxi? its hard cause its FWD :sad:
The fure of maxi: after his suspension, elec probs, cosmetic, I want to get a turbo kit and fmic maybe a LSD - small body kit, gut out the interior 2 x bucket seats, and make him a mountain climber - long term goals.
Many thanks once again for your support, I hope to fix maxi (I'm sounding like a broken record!!) and get to a rolla-club cruise!

Today when I was walking to the car I looked at the wheel and it looked sorta strange... like a flatspot on it... but get this... its completely all lumpy!!! I'm scared its gonna blow out :no: The worst thing is that I'm completely broke and the car is near dead - the clutch is engaging as soon as I lift it off the floor so I'm trying not to use gears to much ... also today when I was braking down a hill a loud humming sound was coming from the rear left... :D
Wish I could afford a 2nd car like a seca but for the money to buy one.. I could just fix maxi.. hmmm what to do???? Anyone wanna rob a bank with me ;)
I could get a loan for 3grand for over 7yrs but the catch is I have to use the whole 3 grand... so I need: 2 x tyers, allignment, 4 x shocks, 4 x springs, FMIC, 4EFTE ECU + Harness + sensors, clutch and maybe a new turbo (I think its burning oil slowly), rust fixed, tint redone.... no doubt that would easily be 3 grand but I only earn 400 a week damn gov. jobs... :D so the interest would kill me!!

Well... since I don't have a 4E ECU and wiring harness and sensors .... maybe I should invest in a aftermarket system... what's a good one?
My suspension is making rattle sounds all the time... whats a good place to get it done?
I need a FMIC whats a good place to get it done?
Clutch is getting very soft to push in??? whats up with that?
I'm thinking maybe I should just take it to a shop and say fix it ... leave and then get the shock of my life when I have to pay the bill with a loan :D
What would you do in my shoes... (I wanna keep the car)
- another choice is to buy another car 500 buck 323 or something to get from bris to coast and back daily... but if I do this I think its sorta giving up on the car..

I had a great time today, I drove through 2 massive storms, hail, rain, wind, thunder & lightning, the car was all over the place and everyone stopped but theres no stopping a mad man - I was laughing at the top of my voice yelling 'BRING IT ON!!!..IS THAT ALL YOU GOT!!...etc ' and there was bolts of lightning smashing into the ground all around me, rain on the window that bad I couldn't see 5m's in front of the car and a strange sound of hail hitting the window and metal body... and at one stage the back of the car started to get sucked sideways with debries flying all over the place.. it was a fantastic drive home.... I'm looking forward to tomorrows drive.. apparently there well be another storm!
By the way... no damage to the car... oh besides a seal on the window going and me getting a bit wet hehe :D

it will fit, tho Grim is right, even tho people have got 3e's producing HP in the 300's + might be easier to go with a 4agze converted to turbo if you want the same thing. All though its good to be different :D
I reakon it would be a sweet engine swap for an old rolla or maybe EP70 starlet.
anyhow... whats some good bush tracks for mtb'ing.
