    ahahahahah if i wanted power i deffinatly wouldent have gotten into rollas :cool:

    my car pretty mutch dosn't drive straight (wheel alightment like this /----/ ) and dosnt break at all atm as one of the calipers is off

    and i wish it had 200hp :2thumbs:

    i carnt beleave they upgrade to a 4k engine they were a downgrade when they came out

    Since the one i'm getting is an '88 model, its pretty much the same specs as the AE92 SX, but i got one with a Bluetop 4AGE, power windows, power steering (YES!!!) and some had a factory sunroof.

     

    Birdie, if you want it, you can remove it yourself and put the old one back for me and redo all the vacuum hose lines that Hi-tech cut off the old one...But otherwise, its staying on the 6A.

    Adam, wasn't saying that i wanted 200kw.....arghghh....There, original post edited.

     

    I know the limitations 4AGEs have as i have done my bit of research and i'm probably only aiming for about 110kw, as i'm not sure how much power the current 4age has, but 150hp is good enough for me, almost doubled to what i have in the current rolla, and if i want more, then an engine swap down the track.

     

    But thanks Adam for the info, been going through AE86DC as i can scab more info on bluetops, might also try the ae82 owners forum as well...

    Power, Power, Power, that's all you care about isn't it Andy, doesn't matter if it idles like crap and doesn't drive in a straight line, as long as you have a 4age that has 200+ hp, its all good...

     

    So, as some may know, my FX will be coming in about a month's time from our neighbouring island, and will unfortunately have a 'bluetop' 4AGE. But body and condition is overrated, could do with a respray, but overall, so happy that i'm finally getting one.

     

    Still contemplating to rebuild the current 4AGE or save for a smallport, remembering that i'm sticking with N/A it, because Forced Induction is for girls... :y:

    Welcome, well end of Feb is still a while yet, don't count on meeting the majority of members from NT, but if your lucky, maybe we'll pull off something and have a get together.

     

     

    Just got back from Holidays in Singapore, so i'll be working double shifts for then next couple of months. But by then, i'll have a little suprise for you all....

    remember that its also the age of the engine i doubt a 100 kw 4age would be making 100kw there getting old now

    at least you'd do is rings and bearings, on a light build probs cost 2k maby then labour for putting the parts in

     

    i reccon drop a 4agze in there that'll get like the power you want 100kw's-ish at the wheels + gutload more torques with scope to upgrade later ahahaha

     

    Yeah see where you're coming from..Though dropping the 4AGZE in defeats the whole purpose of N/A does it not? :y:

     

    Will have to see how and what the current 4AGE condition is, if its low k's and serviced regularly, hopefully it'll keep it close to it...

     

    aftermarkets only fetch about 1k right? so might push engine mods down a couple months :bash:

    If i have to go and get 272 degree cams and change an aftermarket ecu for that kinda power, i don't think i will now...

     

    I was hoping that i didn't have to go that far for 120kws... what will 256 degree cams give me coz i think they will run with the factory ecu.

     

    On checking out billzillas 4age page, i'll be glad if it sits nicely on 150hp, roughly 111.86kw so 256 cams will do perfectly plus the adj cam gears and extractors will just top it nicely.

    Hey Stephen, any chance you could hit bazda a PM for a price of some HKS 4-2-1 extractors from where he is? $845 posted is what i can find...

     

    Aiming for about 110kw (or 120 even) at the wheels with my new project car, and hopefully it'll be one with a smallport 4AGE in it!

     

    TVIS or smallport?

     

    PS. Adam, thinking that the members list might need a touch up, if you don't have time, i'll get to that if you'd like. Sort active members and non-active members would be a good idea as well so we know who's still here.

     

    PPS. not really a tech question here, hence not in the other topic.

    Thought to let you guys know, as you may have noticed, i created a new pinned topic. Hopefully will let this thread breathe a little easier and less of a all-in-one replying post.

    Any questions related to your projects that you want to ask, goes here. Instead of the other topic being flooded by general and tech questions altogether...

     

    Will be very strict in here, so please, only tech questions only, all other stuff goes to the other topic.

     

    If possible, will trial a template to see how it goes, and also makes searching through the topic alot easier.

    Hey Adam, How'd you go with the photo's, sent them all down? Hopefully everyone chipped in a photo...

     

    Did you also order some while you sent them? guessing everyone would like one.

     

    any chance someone could get a-hold of crazywhiteboy and see if he can send a pic of the ae82 to Adam as well, otherwise just send one taken from the shannon's show this year.

    There is alot of effort to keep a club (even an unofficial one) active and i believe being negative about it just doesn't sit well with me. I know for a fact that everyone does work and have other important things to do, but for me, i like to keep this club going (hence RL) so i'll do my best to attend and support events that are properly organised.

     

     

    Oh, if anyone has anyone pics, please email them to Adam ASAP so we can actually have a few more cars on the page.

    Oops, I completely forgot about this. Saturday is still good for the shoot. Tim hasn't responded to my emails, PM's, or SMS's, so I'll take it that he's not interested. The location is my house in Creed Court, Bakewell. Did we want to do a cruise afterwards? I know Luke will be keen to take the S13 out. That or we can have a bbq at my place or something. I'll have to reassemble the BBQ and do a clean around the yard, but that's not too much of an issue. It would be good just to have you all around for a few drinks. You all up for that? Even if you're not able to get your car in the photo, I'd still love to see you come along for the get together. Preferably if you bring some single girls aged 18-28. :jamie:

     

    yep, sounds good, make it around lunch time ish.. I'll bring a few drinks if you'd like, non-alcoholic ones of course...i dunno about the girls though...can someone else take care of that?
