  1. CHEERS MAN. yeah itle be alot of fun
  2. yeah it will be a fun little car especially with the hot motor. i reckon std engine it should see a high 12 and hot motor will see maybe low 11,s. but its not a drag car its a street car that il probly drive every day.i was trying to fit air con but engine mounts get in the way of the pump. ive got a drag skyline which should see in the 8second zone very shortly so this is just a bit of fun. ive put the flares to allow for wider tyre size i can fit around 235s on the rear. and yes the front apron is staying. it will look much better once its all painted one colour. the 290mm rotors I'm using i believe are peugeot but I'm getting custom struts made with a larger diameter wheelbearings to accomadate for the extra weight. the clutch is cable operated so that was easy, but I'm using a vs brake master which has been moved closer to the inner gaurd for more clearence. i was speaking to another guy who does head porting for some speed way cars runing v6 ecotecs and he says its possible to get close to 400hp at around 7000rpm with the right head mods (and other supporting mods). it will fly then, 850kgs with 400hp and massive amounts of torque. hold on.
  3. hey yeah its my car. thanks for puting up pics Rolliac. ive choosen the v6 for the simple reason of heaps of torque. this is only a std motor at the moment which will still be very quick. std engine make 147kw. been doing heaps of weighing complete engine with gear box combo only weighs 58 kgs more than the original. alot of you think that its a boat ancor of an engine that weighs a ton but there supprisinly not that heavy onec all hangons are removed like AC, power steer, etc. we have been doin alot of corner weights and extra that weight that goes in the front i also put in the back, battery, washers etc, etc, its a vs ecotoc v6 in std form at the moment but I'm building a new motor runing big port heads, big cam removed balance shaft and internally balanced components, individiaul throttle bodies, 11:1 comp, wolf v500 ecu, etc,etc should make around 300-330hp, gear box is borgwarner T5 commodore box, diff is shortend 28 spline boargwarner LSD brakes are 290mm rotors and 4 piston rx7 caliper on the front, std commodore brakes an the rear, commodore master cyclinder and remote brake boosters vh40/44
  4. that is a graet idea if it works. has any one done this. not that it really matters to me as I'm getting custom struts made, but stil great idea
  5. yeah got a few pics but i duno how to put them up
  6. thanks alot guys that helps me heaps. i think I'm going to be running rx7 calipers.mmm hope it all fits. especially with the v6 any other pics would be great. thankyou very much P.S do you retain the transverse leafe or remove it
  7. hey jsut got a whiteline sway bar kit for my ke11 and it doesnt look like it will fit at all. any one got any pics of there cars with em fitted would be great. thankyou
  8. thanks guys
  9. hey just wondering where to buy complete window ruber kit to suit ke11 thanks
  10. that ke10s crazy. mine ant no bush basher don't worry. that sounds like what I'm after any one know the link or anything simmiliar. thanks guys
  11. yep still doing v6 its all in. almost time for suspension and brakes. I'm just a little worried about the size of the stub axles on the std struts. i don't car how much messing around is involved i just need to be pointed in the right direction of what struts, control arms, etc fit best then i can make em all fit. i fitted vs front end but needed to much mods to fit correctly .car is stil very light and with the commodore 5speed i didnt rely drop the height very much. corner weights are around 110kg each corner. any one know the std corner weights all help appreciated thanks
  12. ive read and read and read that doesnt say anything about changing to later struts and ditching the leaf and fitting a swaybar. that info is exactly what i need. all it says in the suspension section is how to lower your ke10 usuing ke20 top hats
  13. hey all. I'm new to this and just wondering if theres any struts from other toyotas that will fit into my ke11 to give me larger wheelbearings, stub axles and bigger brake options. any help would be good. thanks
  14. i have had about 8 vl turbos and a know have skyline drag car. thats not what i want.
  15. sweet thanks for your help guys.
  16. laser/ metior ok i will have to look into that thanks. engine fits in easy, as you gota rember v6 is really as lond as like a 3cyclinder, i just gota make custom extractors. sump is in the same position as the corolla and all the steering is behind the xmember. i have to fit a gear box tunnel out of a vn-s to accomadate for the t5 gearbox. thats not a massive job as i just fited an rb30et in HR holden for a customer and did the same thing.
  17. yeah good point. think this steering box is rooted anyway.
  18. is a ke70 power steering. I'm not really up with corollas. as for the engine no its a 3.8l commodore. i don't think that rule applys here as i know this is a popullar conversion in a gemini and they weigh around 950ish which would make there max size of 2.85L
  19. thanks dfunkt with this locally put to geather kit that you said. who does this and what does it consist of. yeah the steering will be managable when moving but when stoped it will be a bitch. i drive a skyline every day and when i got this corolla 2 weeks ago i couldnt believe how heavy the steering when parking in tight spots at low speeds with the 2y (or what ever engine it has)
  20. thank you rolliac. thats write i am just building a burn out machine there fore not need to go around corners fast. yes it will be driven on the street so i do wana stop. philbey you right, i don't think the usual up grade will be enough for the heavy engine. i would like to use commodore brakes just for the engeniering purposes. yeah i would like to use a power steering set up out of something but as been said previously it is a lot of work, thats why i thought i would ask you guys if any one has done anything like this as you guys would know. ke11restorer, sorry about the name calling. it just pissed me off that people don't know what I'm building, i ask a question and get told to get rid of that boat ancor and put in a 4 cyclinder. for what I'm building a 4banger is the boat. ancor. ke10 rolla your the main person doing the name calling. first you call me a nobb, then I'm a f@$k head, followed by I'm a tool. GO FU@K YOURSELF. get out of my thread if you don't like what I'm building or don't wana help me. all I'm interested in is in help from any one who has done or seen some thing like this or has some good ideas. thats the whole point of car clubs. not interested in hearing from a co!k sucker that just sits back and buts in calling people names. all help is appreaciated. THANKS, Luke
  21. ok to start with ke10rolla your a fu#k with. i want to up grade the steering because its guna be f@$kn heay. and whats you being in a 10 second mazda got to do with any thing....
  22. I'm not trying to make the car handle I'm after some thing with massive torque. i know there boat ancors, but there reliable. I'm guessing youve never been in a v6 gemini. so keep your opinions to your self. does any one have any thing positive to say
  23. i didnt ask for your oppinion on my conversion f?ck head
  24. hey all. I'm new to this forum and have a couple of questions. ive recently purchased a ke10 which I'm doing a v6 conversion. i wana adapt some commodore front brakes. not worried about master just disks and calipers also with the v6 its guna be a little heavy in the steering and may possibly wana put power steering. has any one out there done this type front end upgrade i have got alot of it sussed out but thought i would just ask any way. THANKS, Luke
