  1. Mikey, You're out in the midwest(US), right? What's a te28? I'm still trying to figure out all of the model designations. It's on my to do list to find the mazda wheels, I just really liked the look of these celica wheels. Thanks again. Glenn
  2. I have just about finished the 3k swap into my ke15 and am looking at the nect project. I purchased some late model celica gt wheels that are the 4x114.3 pattern and am trying to figure out what the easiest thing to do would be. Is there a different axle that I can swap in for the rear or should I just get rid of the celica wheels and go with the 4x110 pattern. The front seems to be an easy solution. What have you guys done on the rear?? Thanks in advance.
  3. THIS BOARD IS AWESOME!!! Someone mentioned a k-b motor, the motor that is currently in the car is a k-c. No luck on the better k series for me. The only choices that I have are either the k or the 3k. At this point, one of them has to be a better solution than the other. I'm not looking for mad hp or torque although both would be great. This is sort of an experiment for me. I have done Land Cruisers for the past 8 years and know them pretty well, I just wanted to goof off a little. For now it looks like to 3k with a little work is the way to go until I decide how long I'm going to play with the autox. Where are most of you form on this thread, it sounds like I am across the pond from most of you. I'm in Virginia,USA. Thanks for all of the help. Whenever I get a chance to get started, I'll get some pics/info up. G

  6. I don't know how I missed the last link/page. I thought that I had found every site on the net that had to do with the ke1X series. These are some that I thought were very helpful http://www.materials.unsw.edu.au/~sford/engine.html http://t-rex.materials.unsw.edu.au/~sford/ http://www.geocities.com/jonnyr_1973/ http://au.geocities.com/ke1x/ http://www.superjamie.net/oldcorollas/ Thanks for the heads up. I am sure that you will see more on this. I may just try the other head for fun to see what it does. Thanks again, g
  7. It's just the straight k-c motor that came stock in the spinter.
  8. Hey Group, I just bought a 69 KE15 sprinter to play with. It is in pretty good shape and I'm trying to build it to run autox. The k motor is in fair shape needing minor tune-up and carb rebuild. I found a 3k that had been rebuilt recently with a new clutch and good looking carb with all components attached. The plan is to drop the 3k in and try to get as much out of it for as little $$ as possible. Is there any benefit to using the k head on the 3k block or will everything stay the same compression wise. I plan on trying to get the head ported as well with either of the two. Maybe try it myself on the k head and see if I can manage to make it work. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, g
