Ok, so i now know i have to get the springs reset, rather than lowering blocks (they will do for a few weeks how ever :D) also, for the fronts it appears most are suggesting a good shock, custom spring with heavy rate, and some good sway bars! would this seem correct?

FREAKING AWESOME! I LOVE CHEESE :D hehe
-
Thanks Heaps. i have used 3" lowering blocks with very heavy duty shocks in the rear. VERY TIGHT about 10mm at the most. front.. still standard :) how ever i am liking the sound of that with this set up, what is required for me to do this? eg, is it simply change the steering arms? what else would i have to change or will they bolt straight on? springs i can organize thru autobarn / someone who can get custom set springs. and shock inserts.. what would you recommend? ta!

Ok, thanks HEAPS for your replies!!! here goes... I live up in the ranges.. so naturally.. my trip home wants to be fun! STIFF RIGID and REALLY REALLY TIGHT! like its running on train tracks! I really don't mind about comfort etc... I don't want to cut springs if i can avoid it... Thanks HEAPS again! :)

Hi Guys, after reading 102031203 posts on suspension for KE55's. My head hurts more now then it did before! What i would REALLY like for someone to answer, in a straight, non mechanics speaking way is. WHAT CAN I USE, IN MY KE55 that doesnt require me being a mechanic to fit? does know of, pre made coil overs? or shortened struts? etc etc? what is the LESS STRESS way.. i don't really mind about the cost, as long as its not going to cause me to re mortgage my house! Thanks heaps all!

Hi Guys, have a ke55, 4k 4 speed manual. thought i had a dodgey speedo - so i changed it, how ever it still reads out.. eg doing 50kph it says i am doing 65. doing 60kph it says i am doing 70ish. I know the cable runs down to the gear box. just wondering what would recktify this? i have standard wheels on the car, the only thing that has changed is the height. how ever i couldnt understand why changing the height *lower of course* would make this happen. all the drive line is the same still, i just have blocks in the back of it.. (front is yet to be done? could this bee the issue? the face the rear is lower then the front? (much MUCH lower.... 3" blocks) your imput would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks heaps guys

hmmm i guess your both right i live up the mountains and LOVE getting up there fast :P as we all do ahah but not really wanting to spend $1200 for custom front coil overs as my research would find. What would you recommend for a good spring and shock setup?

Did i mention that i love you? are you able to explain to me, what actually needs to be done, to convert fwd 4age to a rwd 4age? this will give me a better understanding of what is needed. and believe me when i say, you are the guy i will be buying the parts that i need from!

Hi Guys, being that there are so many intelegent fellows out there, what coil overs will fit my ke55 4door?

Hi Guys - i have decided on 4AGE to the KE55 - but is getting hard to find good cond RWD 4AGE motor's now. How hard is it to make a FWD 4AGE into a RWD?! i realise mounts need changing etc.. but what else??! can it be done and is it cheaper / easier? (lol!) OR if not, does anyone know where i can get my hands on a RWD 4AGE 20v? (black top would be prefered!) Thanks heaps Guys and Gals!

Hey thanks matey - yeah i would like it in the guard, as i live up in the mountains (WOO mountain runs ;)) and i don't want the side wall rubbing all the time! Thanks heaps for your imput mate!

Hi Guys, thanks heaps for all your replies.. It would appear 3 say +25 - and 2 say +12. from my understanding of things, the standard wheel is 5" wide, and is +27 offset, so if i am putting 7" wide, would i be correct to say that i WILL need the +12 offset to bring the wheel away from the struts? Thanks again!
-
Thanks all for your replies, but i think i am more confused now then i was when i started :y: if i purchase http://www.rotawheels.com/images/products/rb_3.jpg Those wheels, in a 16 x 7 4 x 114.3 +25 will they go onto my KE55 4 door sedan with out needing modifications to the car? ;) or will i need spacers / guards rolling etc also what size tyres should i put on these, 195/45/r16 ? (as i wish to keep profile reasonable low, and white wall them.) (or will they need to be more like 205/45/r16??) Thanks heaps! :D i know one of more of you wonderful people will be able to answer that question :P :)

What would you recomend for a 7" wide? Thanks guys! your knowledge amazes me

Hey, thanks for your quick reply - do you know where i can get manifold from? without having to have one custom made?
-
Hi guys just a quick q... need to put a 4afe motor into a corolla that has a 4ac - will the gear box from the 4ac fit the 4afe? (as it is auto and don't want to do a manual conversion) ALSO! (this is the important part) i have a 4afe in my other corolla - and would like to know will a 4age turbo manifold fit? ( i may have to change the exhaust flange that bolts to motor?) thanks heaps! :(
