  1. Can't get the bonnet open to check yet. My youngest son, Woz's (EWT'S) kid brother, is restoring a Holden (BARRRFFF) panel van alongside my Rolla and half of his junk is on my bonnet. The inch of dust comes with the car as an optional extra, and it's been there for 30 odd years. I based my suggestion that my Rolla was first off the boat on what the original owner told me when I bought it in 1968, and what the service manager of AMI in Port Melbourne mentioned off the record shortly after. Since neither informant was 100% positive, I changed it to maybe because until I can get confirmation I can't be certain. At that time I didn't think it mattered because I never envisioned I'd still have the little beast 40 years later. Whatever the facts are she's still mine and I love her to bits. Pity she's in bits though LOL
  2. Hi Dave, If your KE10 looks like the one in my pics, then the bonnet will definitely fit, since mine is the model with inside door panels and handles like the one shown. On all later KE10's (1968 onwards) the inside door handle was changed. Any KE10 bonnet should fit, because the only real changes from KE10 to KE11 were cosmetic, (inside trims, radiator grille etc.) and didn't involve doors or body panels. It's a long drive from Sunbury to Croydon, especially for an old geriatric fart like me, so I'm reluctant to make the trip on what might turn out to be a wild goose chase. I'm also looking for an inside driver's door trim, although that's not vital, since I can make one. (Style MUST match the red one in the pics). I'll be reupholstering the whole of the inside, so it's not a problem to make the trim from plywood or masonite. If you or anyone else has a couple of door pulls I'm interested. (The small black plastic ones at the top of the inside trim). At some later stage I might be after a KE10 boot lid, (the one with the long chrome trim), but that is low on my priority list and depends on how far I can stretch the pension without the war department (She who must be obeyed) using my head as a football. I have a driver's door from the later model if anyone is interested. The lock is stuffed thanks to a certain grandson who shall remain nameless. I can't be too harsh because Josh was only a toddler when he found out that a house key does NOT open a car! Gtaham.
  3. Had to have surgery so I haven't done much. Managed to get some wipers, interior mirror and some bibs and bobs. Many thanks to those who have helped so far, you all know who you are. And thanks to Grandson Josh for sticking the much needed rocket up my butt to make me do something, even if it's only updating. Still looking for an apron and possibly a bonnet if it's cheap enough. The existing apron is knackered, and I'm too old and lazy to fix the bonnet I have. It needs some MIG welding and I don't have a MIG.
  4. Hey Guys, Just an update, Still looking for a bonnet, apron and wipers. Anyone can help please give me a yodel. Thanks, Graham
  5. Hey Doogs, I just read your thread from go to whoa and I must say I'm impressed. You have had to deal with some major rust problems there, in addition to some pretty ordinary previous bog jobs, and the way you have persisted is heartening. I hope my 14yo grandson Josh shows the same persistence with his Rolla, and so far he has. He's making this old fart pretty proud. So far I've only progressed as far as picking up most of the parts needed for my own project, but I hope to start on the bodywork soon. I'm still chasing a bonnet and apron, but seeing the progress you've made has given me the motivation to maybe straighten out what I have. Fortunately there is no penetrating rust anywhere on my KE10, so I don't have my work cut out the way you have. I can reupholster the seats and inside myself so that will save me a dollar or two. Keep up the good work, and forget just doing your car up as just a 'daily'. Make it into a showpiece too. All the best.

  7. Ok, A Big THANKS to all that have contributed to helping me out, the response has been awesome. So far I've located a driver's door, interior mirror/light assembly, and a set of wheels with roadworthy tyres. I am still in need of Bonnet & apron panel from behind the front bumper If you can help out please Pm either me or Ewt cheers Graham
  8. HELLLLPPPP !!! I just noticed my interior mirror and light fiiting are missing. Anyone out there help me ??
  9. Thanks, I might take you up on that if it matches the one in my pic. It has to have the same lift up type handle on the inside.
  10. Yes, I'm thinking of Burgundy metallic but it depends on the price
  11. Cheers, Please keep me posted. Graham
  12. Updates... OK folks, Things have started happening. So far I've managed to get the headlight surrounds, (Thanks Stefan), indicator lights (brand new on Ebay $15.00 the pair). Also had an offer of hubcaps. Still need a driver's door, (willing to swap a reasonably good KE11-12 door if anyone needs one) Colour of door and trim doesn't matter as I intend to reupholster the whole interior. Also need a bonnet if anyone can help, and I'm looking for a spare wheel rim as my original went walkabout. Cheers, Graham.
  13. Hi all fellow Rolla nuts. This is Woz’s dad, Josh’s Poppa (ewt). My 67 KE10 was one of the first, if not the first off the ship from Japan. I've had it since it was about 8 months old, and now I have time I want to restore it to original condition. A little bit on the history :- The car has a genuine 68,000 miles on the clock. It was on blocks in my garage for well over 20 years, and Woz and his brother pulled it out, fitted new coil and plugs, and she fired up, running on 20 year old petrol!!! Let's see a modern car do that !!!!! Drivers door on it is from a KE11-12 and doesn't match as the interior handles are different. It’s in good condition, so if anyone cares to swap I’m interested. I'm after a drivers door to match this one Parts I need: KE10 Drivers Door (Doesn't matter about the Door or Trim colour), Headlight Chrome Trims (FOUND!), 2 KE10 Hubcaps, a Front Apron, and a Bonnet. Cheers Guys, Graham.
