-Geoff- Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Hey guys my name is Geoff, I have just bought a Ke70 5speed, through on of the fellas on here. As you can see from below i have fair bit of work ahead of me...but its all a bit of fun Things to do: Paint (found 4l of Aztec 2-pac paint in the shed :y: ) so i guess it will be red Find a 4k Lower it am thinkin falcon springs and siera shocks in the rear, but not sure about the front hmmmm.... Then hopefully register it! How it sits now, just waiting to get so time to finish off sanding and prep for the undercoat....... So i am at the stage where i would like to get the motor out of the way,.... so if anyone has has a 4-kc, i would love to buy it or if u have any other ideas let me know..... Quote
casey Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 its surly coming allong, any engine mods you plan on? Quote
Paul Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Where are you located? (please add it to your profile too) I have 2 unwanted 4K-C's and a 4speed box for cheap as chips at the moment...in Melbourne. Oh and one of the motors has blown head gasket but that same motor apparently has a rebuilt (exeddy?) clutch. Quote
Hokey Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Can you explain some more about faclon spring with sierra shocks? just cheap way of getting stiffer shocks and springs? Thanks, Calvin :) Quote
-Geoff- Posted October 14, 2006 Author Report Posted October 14, 2006 Hey geez thanks for the quick comments, I am thinkin in the way of engine mods front i will go, a cam re-grind, extractors, 2" maybe 2.25" exhaust and possibly upgrade the carbie down the track. Just want eonough power for a bit of fun.... so sorry Paul about not adding location but i am i brissy, so though those 4-kc would be great, i think the freight would be a killer, i will price i though Hockey, the suspesion is as you say just a simple upgrade, the falcon springs give u a stiffer ride, while the siera shocks are short stroke and as i am going to lower it this means that they will keep my springs captave, where as if u use the standard shock the diff can drop low enough that the springs can come out. Well thats my understanding of it hopw it helps..... will update tommorrow with pics, almost ready for undercoat YAY! Quote
casey Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 why is every one going for more than 2'' with a k motor? Quote
