nastylilweed Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 hey i am pretty new into corolla's i am a semi turned commodore man, i have recently gotten myself into a ke55 corolla that was damaged in an accident, i am in the process of fixing her up and respraying her, i have all the body work finished as of tonight, hopefully to be primed on the weekend, i am planning on a 3 layer pearl of violet pearl over a white base. so hopefully she'll look pretty insane, she has been pretty insanely lowered sitting on bump stops at the back which i plan on cutting out to get her even lower, just lowered springs at the front, standard wheels which i am respraying HSV wheel silver with whitewall tyres, i have just bought to monza reclineable racing seats to throw in the front as the rest of the interia is in good nik i just leaving it. i have got some extractors and possibly twin carbs for her, although there is also the possibility of a turbo. has anyone turbo'd a stok 4k? and with how much luck have you had. cause i need a lil more power than the old standard 4k but can't spend too much as the main project is my vh commy.. i'll keep everyone posted and hopefully get some picks if she painted this weekend fingers crossed... nastylilweed Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 yeah well it is finally ready to get primed tomorrow, so yeah tomorrow the entire thing will be primed and ill be able to rub it down and get colour on it next weekend... it is costing me the absolutely nothing to get the paint for a 3 layer pearl 1L violet pearl 6L primer 4L clear 2L of colour + hardeners and thinners = 850.00 pretty good i reackon for a 3 layer pearl... so yeah costing about a grand to respray entire car in a 3 layer including panelbeating costs and painter costs sounds good to me  hopefully next weekend i will have pics of painted rolla and the weekend after the finished product all put back together... finally starting to look like a finished car Quote
