PJ.G13A Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Gday, new to forum, hope to find lots of useful info. I have a question. My carby has shat itself on my Suzuki G13A 1.3litre 4cyl engine, and i want to retrofit throttle body injection onto my G13A from a 1.3 corolla engine. I know it sounds weird, but i think it will work as I'm mechanically inclined and determined. Question is, what engine is the 1.3 out of the corolla, does it need any special sensors to work? Ie does it need like a cam/crank angle sensor, or does it use just the standard TPS, MAP, TEMP, O2 sensors? Thanks for your help Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 Hi, Is the carby pattern on the suziki manifold the same as a corolal K motor? also can you get pics up of the toyota TBI and what 1.3L is the TBI off of? Cameron Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 Just a quick note on the Toyota TBI system the return spring in it can fatigue so badly that the sensor won't return to its normal closed-- throttle position when you release the throttle. Apparently there known for this so if you get a 2nd hand unit cautious of this. Cameron Quote
