i have a annoying problem with the alternator the damn thing doesnt seem to be charging i have replaced the alternator and the wiring loom and still the charge light continues to stay on and the battery drains dead. ive tried various solutions like changing fuses and another brand new battery and still nothing.

have you tried replacing the regulator charger thing that bolts to the strut tower?

I think jason is spot on the money there, The 4A-C alternators have an external regulator, Not built into the alternator like 4KC or many other alternators..

Yeah i didnt relise that the 4A-C had a external regulator. I changed it and its now all good.
