Fours N More aren't an Engineering shop. They could do it, but they'd send it off to someone else to get it all done.

Yup, most definitely. There are a heap of engineering shops around and engine reconditioners for that matter, that could easily do the work for a lesser price than taking it into a workshop where they would have to outsource the work and then mark the price up (as Redwarf stated).

 

I know what I'd be doing....

quoted prices are a bit rich ... place called marden siad they could do a shave and regrind for 600-800 dollars, or not ... looks like i'll be doing it myself
