And dropping a 4agze in it, and was just wondering how much it would cost to buy a reconditioned 4agze? Also what other mods would i have to make to the car? Eg diff, gearbox, suspension, breaks ect... Could you also give me some prices on these engines? 4a-ge ca18det sr20det oh and if i put a 4agze in the ke55 will it keep its RWD or will it be a FWD? i am new to this if u didnt realise :D Quote

Are you planning on doing this yourself? You will need at least a gearbox as well. In most states of this wide brown, slightly charcoaled land you will need brake upgrades as well. Prices? Google.com is your friend, or call a motor importer. If you want a reco one, add more $$$. This is not something to be undertaken by the faint hearted, and not a conversion (any of them) that will bolt into the car. A fair bit of fabrication will be involved. And I hope you're friendly with an engineer. I don't want to discourage you, but it's not an easy job. If you happen to be made of sterner stuff, the best of British luck and I'll be of as much help as I can, as I can provide photo's of my 2TG conversion. Cheers Rob Quote

As for how much money i have.. well i was going to buy a car for about $6,000.. Quote

Redwarf Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 I just bought a TE55 rally car for $4k. Anything over $3k for a standard one, it would want to be very good. For 6k you should look at an AE86, it's much easier tweek them to the purposes you want. If 6K is your total budget, don't even think about a conversion. Decide on total budget up front, and then work to your means, otherwise it gets out of hand, fast. Cheers R Quote

They look basically the same. Quote
